JMac
If a unit is relentless and is joined by an IC that is not relentless, does the IC prohibit a charge after the unit fires rapid fire weapons, even if the IC does not (lets say he fires a pistol)? Meatman
Units with the relentless special rule may assault after shooting heavy or rapid fire weapons. So in your example, it would be ok. If the IC were to fire a heavy weapon while not relentless, then yes, the squad would not be allowed to assault. Grey Mage
Its a natural progression of the rule that a unit always moves at the speed of the slowest model. So, in a mixed unit- say like wolf gaurd- where some models are relentless and others are not, we only need to know if all the models that fired rapid fire or heavy weapons had the relentless rule. If any of them did not, the whole unit is restricted to their inability to assault. Wether its an IC or an upgrade character makes nod difference. Frosty the Pyro
Relentless is a model based rule, not a unit based one. So long as every model in the unit is permitied to asault, then the unit may do so.
