Painting Princes...Need Suggestions.

Greetings,

 

I'm getting ready to paint my two Daemon Princes and I'm having a hard time trying to decide what color to make their flesh... should I go with the traditional dark demonic red... or should I go more like a morbid pale white/gray? So I'm looking for suggestions you all may have... here are some screen shots of my army paint theme to give you an idea what I'm working with.

 

My army is kinda close to Iron warrior colors except instead of yellow I'm using bronze... all my army will have matching shoulder pads as seen. The Princes armor will be having the same colors as the regular marines you see in the pics....

 

Colors are... Dwarf Bronze, Chainmail, Boltgun Metal, Chaos Black. All with a Devlan Mud wash to add that dirty feel.

Also does anyone know what color paint and what color wash was used to get the human faces on the Black Legion marines in the codex? It looks like a pale white skin with a light touch of a pink underneath. Anyone out there know what paints were used to achieve that look?

I think you should use the Red Skin colour so that it contrasts with the silver colour scheme. This would be better as a spot colour for the Princes than the white.

To make it fit in a bit with your army color you could make there skin have the appearance of metal or a kind of metallic sheen to them. Or you could go with the red skin tones and make it look sort of like molten metal look to them. The painted models look nicely done too by the way
