Rhino or razorback issue

Hello, brothers! There is a question that won't let me go...

Some time ago forums were full of advices to buy a Razorback model even if you need a Rhino - paying but a little extra you'd get a vehicle that can be both. But today I've decided to actually buy one... and I failed to choose, for the costs of both tanks were equal! Was the Razorback kit changed in a way that a Rhino can't be constructed of it anymore? And if not, is there any reasonable point to ever buying a Rhino kit now?

Thank you in advance, brothers...

The prices shouldn't be the same... Well I guess that depends on where you live as your prices much actually be different than the prices in the US. In the us Rhinos are 33 and Razors are 35. Really there is no difference but still some people would rather save the 2. They haven't made any changes to the Razor I buy them all the time for rhinos.

Well, I'm from Russia, and both kits are 1090 rubles. Having checked UK GW site (there they're 20.50 UK pounds each) I've decided the costs are equal from now on...

then let's hope they lower the prices of all the other rhino based tanks too :tu:

The rhino frame is standard across all the tank kits so can't see them changing it soon.

To avoid confusion, you should specify. Rhino frames are standard for razoback, predator, vindicator, and whirlwind tanks... not say, land raiders, chimeras, or leman russ, etc.

You cant make a razor from a rhino but you can vice versa. I would rather buy a razor and some magnets then buy a rhino and some bits!!!

Never needed a magnet to make a razer from my rhino's :D

i think none of us have max, in fact, i'm sure mellons is one of the first spaces wolves ever to magnatise his rhino/razorback top hatches! B)

I actually havent done it, it was just the point of switching tops versus buying bits...I probably would though, I do a lot of "battle damage" to my models to and from playing.

Just my 2 cents, you should always Magnetize the Doors, and plavced the magnets inside the body, for two reasons.

1) If you have the magnets inside the main hull you can added "extra Armor" from the vindi kit. Nice and easy way to get an armored rhino...

2) If you place mags inside the hull for the doors, then you can magnetize Predator sponsons to it and ,make a predator.
