I have been working on a list that has a kind of shock and aw tactic. I have been using mordak with various deep striking units and using grand strategy to scout a dreadknight and interceptor squad to there lines. I also run a few five man strike squads in razors and a couple psyfleman dreads. I have some great success with the list but would like to know if anyone else has tried any of the similar tactic and what they do on turn to play other than outflank why ur deep strike units gets shot up

I hope you dont mean deepstriking Mordak with units other than ghost knights?

He's not an IC so can only be joined by ghost knights for first turn deep-striking.

Or ICs, with Ghost Knights of course.

I don't really want to use Mordrak, as I'd just prefer running my own Grand Master, but I am seriously considering it. If you are leaning toward a primarily Teleporting/Deep Striking army, then Mordrak will really facilitate that. One plan that I am considering is attaching a Librarian with a Teleport Homer to Mordrak and 5 or 6 Ghost Knights. The unit gets to pick exactly where they want to be for a 1st Turn drop, and can run into terrain for a 3++ Stealth-enhanced Cover Save. Starting Turn 2, Mordrak can use his Psychic Communion power to assist with Reserve rolls, and your units will be able to home in on the Librarian (or a couple Servo Skulls) for fairly quick precision engagements. It kinda blows that the Ghost Knights don't have the same options as regular Terminator Grey Knights, but they'll still be effective.

This is what I'm thinking about, anyway, to avoid having to "mech up", and I really like the idea of a thematic "Teleport Assault" based Grey Knights army.
