mycnh
Don't know if there is any rules-lawyer wiggle room here or not, but the round that takes away your invulnerable save, still does the wound on 4+, right? Chairman_woo
Seems pretty clearly worded that it does indeed cause a wound/save to me. You locate the wound (which will indeed be the 4+ for sniper), then remove the invun, then they take a save as normal (cover or none equipment based invun). So they lose the invunerable no matter what provided you wound them in the first place, and with ap1 may well take a wound with no saves anyway! RedemptionNL
Aye, it still does damage. Do keep in mind that you need to wound first (indeed 4+ with the Sniper rule), to be able to remove an invulnerable save granted by items or wargear. Joasht
It currently does damage, but if I'm not wrong in the *OLD* Daemonhunter codex it didn't, so thats probably the source of the confusion if any of your friends told you it doesn't deal a wound. I could be wrong though, I used the Eversor exclusively in 3rd ed :X Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/227675-vindicare-shield-killer-still-does-a-wound-right/#findComment-2727331 Share on other sites

I have yet to wound with the ammo that needs a 4+ to wound. Sure when I use the 2+ I roll 4+s all the time, but when I wanna use the shield breaker or turbo for 2Ws I roll a 2. GRRRAAAAGHHHH!!!! So roll to hit, roll to wound, place it on the target, they lose a wound and their wargear granted invun saves. I guess its for balance purposes more than anything. Yeah, I just thought that by now I would have made one 4+ wound :) On the upside people rarely pass saves when it comes to the 2+. Remaining saves (if any) can then be taken.' You can't allocate a wound if you don't roll a successful To Wound first. I think the confusion comes from the fact that in the beta version of the rules that leaked out a month or so before the official release, it did not cause a wound.
