dublindawg
Short of buying them from FW, what are people using to create 2 twin-linked auto cannons for their dreadnaughts? I did a search on the forums and the only post I found was to an external link. Are people modifying lascannon arms or something else entirely? Any insight would be greatly appreicated! I have purchased a pair of arms from FW for my first dreadnaught but don't want to shell out that much for a 2nd dread and possibly a 3rd down the road. The 5-man PAGK boxes are costly enough. KnowThyEnemy
the 5 man squads are actually cheaper than the older ones and they make more things, but besides that :D. im going to use quad guns from the aegis defence lines. ive got 2 sets but i havent opened the box yet Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/227780-dreadnaught-auto-cannons/#findComment-2728540 Share on other sites
veidin
Yup Aegis Defense Line for me as well. Had 3 of them already and only been using the turrets as terrain decoration. Now they have a use! :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/227780-dreadnaught-auto-cannons/#findComment-2728543 Share on other sites

RedemptionNL
And instead of using half a dreadnought arm, you can also just use the entire Aegis Quad Cannon as arms: http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/148723-V...IP5%20side.html I think that looks even better. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/227780-dreadnaught-auto-cannons/#findComment-2728581 Share on other sites

Fred Johnson the 3rd jr
If you don't want the shoulder pad look, you can get sweet looking autocannons by gluing IG autocannons together. Yeah! I always paint Red, even for GK... I prefer the Ironclad Dread Chassis... looks more armored looking... It's a dedicated Rifleman Dread BTW, I cut-off the stub where you attach the arms, and drilled holes in them to fit the ADL Autocannons... :cuss Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/227780-dreadnaught-auto-cannons/#findComment-2743194 Share on other sites

Cmdr Shepard
I prefer the Ironclad Dread Chassis... looks more armored looking... Is it larger/higher than standard/venerable dread? I'd like to add a different dread to my GK collection but I don't want to offer a larger than needed target to my opponents. Growler67
Chaos Dread comes with a TWAC. Maybe find a bits vendor or search eBay. Easy peasy. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/227780-dreadnaught-auto-cannons/#findComment-2743287 Share on other sites

templargdt
I used lascannons from the razorback kits glued together with attached promethium tanks from the Land Raider Redeemer kit to act as ammo bins. It looks ok, wildcards' definitely is superior. I'll try and post a photo later.
