MuGGzy
After reading the Ravenor trilogy, and what that dude endured and continues to be an arguably bad ass dude, coupled with fairly limitless resources, and if he had the right "relationships", I would see the fluff support for doing this. If the guys/girl is damaged beyond normal field duty, and has enough power to refuse to be relegated to a wheel chair in a spire somewhere, why COULDN'T he be interred into something very similar to a dread? I would use Penitent engines as an example, you can't tell me that the "pilots" go through a bunch of special medical enhancements to be able to pilot them, they pretty much have cables crammed into the back of their heads and are told to "charge!". With a little more concern for durability and consideration for the status of the "pilot", there is no reason why a Inquisitor couldn't be similarly "mounted". It may not be exactly the same configuration and design as a SM Dread, but if they can make Arco Flagellants, Penitent Engines, Karazimov's Throne, and Ravenor's Chair, they sure as heck could plug a paraplegic with an attitude into a big wheelchair with legs, armor, and guns.
