GK faq

3-14 months from now.

Sad, but true. :) Honestly, any one of us vets here could get out a comprehensive and logical FAQ within an hour or two. I love many things about GW, but their customer support in terms of clarifying their own rules is appalling.

Again, I've said it before but the best thing that could happen to us is if a company like Fantasy Flight purchased them. GW sells my favorite product on the market, and I hate them as a company more than any other out there.

Seriously a FAQ doesn't take long to make. They just need to look into forums and then spend a few hours mulling over them and then deciding. That doesn't takes 3-14 months. Granted that those hours could be put into making other models and discussing other rules of codexes etc, they drag it on and on until it hits them there really is no difference to them doing doing it now and 10 months later. Then they make the FAQ, which even then is very poor compared to any forum FAQ.

thanks

One would hope those many hours wasted were spent on TWC models. Might explain why SW's are still waiting.....

Seriously, you expect them to make TWC models? They would rather embrace the true SW ways of drinking than making models! ^^

Does anybody know how there FAQ system works, who sendt the questions to GW?

GW has a number of ways to determine what needs to be answered in their FAQs, one of which is looking at boards like this one to see what questions are being asked.

They don't even talk about half the things that the forum FAQs buzz about. Plus they always miss a few major questions that need FAQs when they are so hotly debated on forums that i have no idea how in the warp that they managed to miss so.

In all fairness the last few haven't been that long after the codex came out. They're getting better.

Orcs and Goblins still do not have one and there is a number of questions and clarifications needed about their codex...

I'm all about giving credit where it is due...but not going to give them credit of getting better when its just not there.

Like I'm gonna pay attention to Fantasy pfttt.

Dark Eldar's FAQ came out quite quick, Blood Angels was quite quick, Nids not as much but still a lot quicker than Daemons. These are all recent books and they came out relatively quickly compared to the older FAQs. It all depends on how complex the FAQ is and how long etc. I would thought that maybe the FAQ for O&G would come soon based on how 40K FAQs have been going but it wouldn't be right to assume the same team work on it, plus it's a different game so you can't sat for sure. 40K FAQs have been quicker as fas as I've seen though and what with GK being a 40K army these trends do have a bearing on the ETA for a FAQ.
