Alternate Assassin Models?

I'm not the biggest fan of the current Assassin models, fortunatly other miniature ranges have what I'm looking for in terms of the Vindicare and Callidus.

But what about the Eversor, and indeed the Death Cult Assassins from the Henchmen squads? Are there any models from alternate ranges that could fit those well enough?

I suppose, but I'd rather not have to extensively convert Witch Elves or something to fit the 40k feel [besides, I suck at greenstuff].

Necromunda Malcadon Spyrers make for convincing alternate Eversors.

What about something from either Eldar range for an Eversor? The DE Wyches, with a bit of work, could do.

 

I think an Eldar guardian could be even better(and I even started such a conversion some years back), because their suits already resemble the synskin of the assassins, and with a little careful cutting on the backpack and the addition of the targeting sensor from the heavy weapon attachment - http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_Custom...ain_873x627.jpg (see the guy in the upper right), you're almost there. You'd probably need arms from something else, as they are a bit scrawny in comparison to anything Imperial, and of course, a new head and weapons. You could probably pull it off with minimal, or maybe even no use of greenstuff.

If you've got a healthy amount of players at your LGS, I'm sure you could barter for a single Guardian or Wych. I know I still have a ton of the guardians on sprue, stuffed away in my bins.

I used an esher model from the specialist range for my eversor.

Second from left, she is armed with a mailed fist (guantlet), grenade (melta bomb), sword (power weapon - from old dex), and a bolt pistol.

Yep 95% accurate... Just missing the needle part of the combi-weapon.

 

I fixed her up with some green stuff to fix the gun, and a little to her face for a mask (across her nose & mouth).

Actually, looking again at the Eversor model on the site, I don't really think you would need to replace the arms from a Guardian. I might have to dig out my old conversion and dust it off, borrowing one of the unused falchions from my new GK stuff...

I don't think the freebooter's one would look right, She's 37mm, so nearly a cm taller than GW's scale...

Infinity miniatures are very tiny though (and true scale), they would look out of place next to GW sculpts IMO.
