Brother-Captain Sharp
I made a Master of the Forge last night, and when considering the Conversion Beamer, I decidedbthere were 2 ways to go about it. I could either go the route of converting a multimelta or plasma cannon to one or I can go way over the top. I went with the later. http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj236/sesharp/f8591fbf.jpg http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj236/sesharp/e36eeefc.jpg http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj236/sesharp/b8a57c4d.jpg http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj236/sesharp/5d0d29a2.jpg Comments and criticism welcome. maverike_prime
Looks like Arcane Tech to me. Like the advanced crudity of it. Like it was built by the AdMechs, but not the current ones. Nicely done. Can we get a parts list? Astrum Vinco
I think that it looks a little bit too big (the beamer). The hammer looks a little awkward, but this would be the first time I have seen it attached to the servo. Not a bad idea. For the parts list: Servo arms from old Techmarine Servo Harness Tubing from Sentinel Plasma Cannonm Sentinel Close combat weapon Teleport homer Brace from Ravenwing upgrade kit (it's between the teleport homer and the combat arm) IG Autocannon Dish from Master of the Ravenwing (Speeder) Shield of Night Brace from the same kit Rack for hunter killer missile from Sentinel kit Short length off Land Speeder Antenna Barrel from Predator Autocannon Two different gauges of wire I think that it looks a little bit too big (the beamer). The hammer looks a little awkward, but this would be the first time I have seen it attached to the servo. Not a bad idea. Yeah the point is that it's over the top huge. :) I understand your point about the beamer. As for the Thunderhammer, after talking with my buddy (this is for a split 4000 point force we and 2 other friends are taking to Adepticon), I misunderstood what he said his wargear was. Thusly, I changed the Techmarine slightly. http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj236/sesharp/Deathwing%20WIPs/IMG_0991480x458.jpg http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj236/sesharp/Deathwing%20WIPs/IMG_0990480x353.jpg I put the auspex arm back on (Master of the Forge cannot have a Storm Shield) and replaced the Thunder Hammer with an Omnissian ax (power weapon). Thanks for the replies guys. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/227965-master-of-the-forge-with-conversion-beamer/#findComment-2731812 Share on other sites
Brissebrajan
two things come to mind when i see this one, 1. "Aliens" - the smartgun or what its called, 2. "say hello to my little friend"... at first i thought it looked a little too big, but the more i look at it, the more i like it. The thunder hammer though, looks out of place, you could maybe try to go for something more sinister and crude like a saw or something instead, either way, i like it, and i like the pose with shield =) love to see it with some paint on... nice work Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/227965-master-of-the-forge-with-conversion-beamer/#findComment-2731832 Share on other sites
MagicMan
This dude could benefit from being on a bigger base, would probably make him look a little less overbalanced! Lovely gun, anyway. FatMan
Looks good, not over the top as some and not as subtle as others, a good middle I would say. But yeah try the larger (termie) base on for, size that should balance out the "feel" of the model! Wicced
i like the design of the gun, but i think it looks a little strange just hovering there. it looks too heavy to be held by just a servoarm and some mechandrites. a bipod or something like that might help. just my 2 cents Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/227965-master-of-the-forge-with-conversion-beamer/#findComment-2732119 Share on other sites
