With spaces for simplicity.

But really, I've always wanted to order custom dice from chessex but my paranoia has always been that they would prove to be unlucky. Then what, they would be too expensive to just throw... Maybe if I could get my lucky dice custom branded. If I could start my own service for this it would be amazing to see how many people would do it.

Dice Gods are fickle. There are two ways to fix this. Threaten to melt your dice down if you do not roll well. Or pray to the Dice Gods and wait for salvation.

My own dice are burgundy and gold from when I played World Eaters ten years ago. I roll like mad in close combat, but I cannot pass an armor save for the life of me. BFTBG eh?

As the resident Dice God, might I suggest the following:

Step 1: Assemble Dice

Arrange them in a perfect cube, six by six, with all sixes facing outwards (This includes the dice on the bottom; they face out, while the next rank above them face up; these are your "low rolling" die.)

Step 2: Bathe in Incense

Wave said burning incense over the dice; every facing of the cube, except the dice on the bottom. With each pass of incense, blow gently through the smoke to baptise the dice in the incense.

Step 3: Bathe in Mead

Common mead will work, but homebrewed or homemade will work fine. Go light on the honey, though. Otherwise, the dice will go soft. Offer up the mead every six minutes, six times.

Step 4: Bathe in Blood

This is often skipped. Take a pint of your own blood (I've found a pint works well, but less is also fairly acceptable). Douse the dice stack in the blood, then let it sit for up to fifteen minutes but no less than four.

Step 5: Bathe in Mead

Repeat Step 3

Step 6: Roll the Dice.

Any dice which roll a 1 or 2 on one 36-dice roll are to be immediately incinerated in a manner befitting the owner. For example, if the owner is Russian, a blow-torch is acceptable. For an American, a stove is acceptable. Use your discretion.

I asked my wife to pick out my dice for me. You just need new dice rubbed over something with good karma (.)(.)

(.)(.)

This thing.

Do you mean to suggest you rub your dice off your wife's bewbs for good luck?

he couldn't make it any more graphical, remember this is a family friendly forum pups so be carefull with your next words

Yeah what is it with certain dice rolls?? My long fangs were attacked by a unit of Khorne berserkers the other night and I could happily roll seven or eight armour saves every turn but as soon as my Terminators take to the field , I cant roll two or three dice without at least a couple of ones coming up??? I think I'll see if the wife can help me out... You might have started something here.... dont know how i'll start that conversation.... " honey ive got a game next week and I just need you too....

I have two sets of GW dice, one small set of Chessex, and one large set of Chessex. This last weekend all bu the large Chessex have doomed themselves to being sold.

My opponents in the tournament I played were in awe as 2's and 1's were rolled so frequently on any dice that I touched practically. Wolf Standards earned their points back a thousandfold!

However, those large Chessex dice from the Battlefoam tournament two years ago? I was using them to sepearate my GH pack to hit and to wound rolls from my MoW and holy crap was I rolling some MoW Rending attacks!!

In fact, retelling that part as inspired my next saga for the fluff section of my blog!

I always find that throwing the offending dice as far away as possible helps. Usually end up with very new to use though

I would have ran out of dice after my first few blood angel games. They've been the bane of all the dice i own

I do get that problem. Some days its just a case of "I quit, you win, I'm going to bed".

I sat down earlier today to do some mathhammer actually andthought this one out. Realizing that with fnp, my normal hunter only has a 5% chance of killing a ba I blame my dice less now.

I also discovered my scatter dice makes my other dice lucky, as long as they touch before I roll.

I've played considerably better since I became ignorant to dice rolls.

Now I just roll the dice, play the game and base my tactics decisions on common sense rather than mathhammer.

If the dice are bad, I deal with it. If the dice are awesome, that's cool too.

now to see how many dice you can get in contact at one time ;)

The best thing u can do is get allot of ap1 goodness. +1 for ap +1 for open topped and u are AT THE VERY LEAST lokking at a weapon destroyed.

Apart from that, what goes around comes around.

As for all the dice stuff, seriously people. Religion is one thing but this? I have 5 diffirent colors of simple dice and they work just fine.

I thought this thread was going to be about Dark Eldar, not dice rolls... Fooled me!!

I have been through three sets of dice now, one Chessex, one GW dice brick, and a random bag of dice I bought at a thrift store. I use a few die from each of them, and I have certainly noticed that the die with rounded edges roll lower more often than the ones with squared edges.
