Cmdr Shepard
Well having played with logan wing and won more then I have lost, I see a challenge when considering a draigo wing. slightly less models then my current logan wing, no drop pods or combi melta's, but I6 on most of the termies, more wounds and tons of str 7 assault cannons... Small elite armies are great fun, nothing like being outnumbered yet taking out everything in your way, bad luck does suck loads (lost arjac and his 4 drop pod termies to a squad of damn termigants in 1 round of shooting, not a happy bunny). You are talking with a fan of elite armies. However most experienced players made me notice the risk of playing them in a highly competitive games. I'm currently playing in a tournament/campaign at my local store and I used Draigo/Paladins in 2 out of 3 games I played. I won easly against Blood Angels and Chaos Space Marine. (I won the other match against Eldar but I didn't play Paladins) However my opponents were not the best players on the world. I knew that and I decided to play the Paladin death star unit. I had great fun but what about more experienced players? That's my dilemma as Draigo/Paladin fan. nurglez
Well, I am the better player among my friends (not trying to sound like I'm unbeatable or totally awesome, only really have 4 regular opponents). I'd love to one day take my logan wing to a tourny, just to play against other armies/generals. I'd assume I'd lose most games, but losing helps me learn :D Elite armies are such, such fun. Really need to get working on my army (still got draigo, 10 paladins and a dreadnight and a half to glue together...). I'd say the best way to find out how draigo/paladins work against experienced players is to play them :D zagman seems to be doing well with them. That's sure ;) . Maybe I should try to find out outside the tournament, so I'm not worried about the list's performance.
