I just finished up this guy, but having problems coming up with a name and history for him. All you fluff junkies out there have any ideas? Who he is, what his past could be and how he became entombed.

Name that Dread!

Name him Hodir, he was put into the dreadnought shortly after saving his wolf lord and company from a Tyranid Bio-Titan on the ice world of Norgand during the battle of the Storm Peaks. During the battle the company was quickly being overwelmed because of the Bio-Titan. Hodir, knowing that if he didn't kill the bio-titan his company would surly be defeated, quikly grabbed a missile launcher and lascannon in each hand and run towards the giant Bio titan. The Titan ate him however this was clever Hodir's plan as soon after the Bio titan exploded, killed from the inside by Hodir's lascannon and missile launcher. However Hodir had not brought into account the acid that was inside the bio titan and when he came out he was badly wounded. The wolf lord stuck him in the dreadnought and here he is today.

Thanks Mav! He was a fun model to work on for sure. I am a painting machine at the moment, and still so much to get through. This guy needs a tall tale to tell though...

I like Chapter Masters idea, I just dont face noise marines often so hard to exact revenge.

Awesome, made me smile. I'm guessing this is Hodirs ale soaked version of the story right!? ;)

Can anyone best Peacekeepers tale?

Holding the line with the PDF, Kjel was pointing out target priorities and firing missiles from his Cyclone equipped suit of Terminator Armor. The pack of Long fangs assigned to him to help hold the line was spread out along the battlements as torrents of fire were volleyed into the traitorous hordes advancing. “This outpost must stand” his Wolf Lord ordered as he and the others were dispatched to their positions. Just as he fired his last missiles into the throngs a sharp blast detonated to his right. Plascrete chunks and shrapnel fragments sprayed in every direction. The Long Fang that was there moments ago was buried behind a pile of debris. His shattered armor and the growing pool of blood soaking the ground spoke of his loss. With a howl of outright rage Kjel picked up the Las Cannon once wielded by his Wolf Brother and began raining heated death upon the enemy.

His outrage and camaraderie for his fallen brother spurred the PDF on to increase their rate of fire. There was no way this outpost was going to fall this day. The moment came to pass that their advance was broken and the advance was halted. Their cowardice retreat was met with being gunned down as they fled. Still howling his bloodlust Kjel did not hear the whistle of the incoming artillery round. Parting shot from the departing foes had detonated against the outer wall of the outpost just under where he stood. The explosion was massive and melted steel plate along with plascrete erupted like a volcano of fire and shrapnel.

Kjel and dozens of PDF soldiers were thrown into the air and in all directions outward from the blast. Backwards he fell off the ramparts 20 meters to the inner grounds below. A high pitched ringing in his ears as he tried to catch his breath as it had been knocked out of him by the impact. Then dizziness overtook him and his vision dimmed. “With the honor and bravery he displayed he would one day again stand among the Wolves to face whatever enemy needs repelling”. The Wolf Lord saw that his legs were missing and he had lost so much blood that he was near death. He ordered the stasis unit and servitors of the Wolf Priest to ensure he remained alive.

The skjalds were told of his accounts by those that survived to speak of them. As he lay in the Red Dream his Wolf Lord requested that the mighty Kjel be interred so that he may fight again one day for the Chapter. With the loss of his legs and with his other injuries, he was removed from stasis and interred in the sarcophagus upon his return to the Fang. The Great Wolf himself saw to it that Kjel the Mighty would once again stand to fight as a Space Wolf.

Just off the top of my head.

Wow, we really do have some talented writers here in the fang. Really impressive stuff Growler, I like that one a lot too! Thanks for pulling that together.

The enemies of my Great Company, in no particular order.

Khorne Berserkers/Deamons

Orks

Nids

IG (Renegade?)

Necrons

Hordes of Orks screaming WAAAAAAGH fall just as dead to torrents of fire from the ramparts of an outpost as do bugs or renegades. The throngs of enemy will soak he grounds with their blood and it will be at the hands of the Space Wolves as they assist the PDF.

ETA: Perhapshe could be named Kjel "the Repulser" or "the Defender" or "the Staunch" or maybe "the Stoic" or even "the Retribution". Options abound if one only puts their minds to task.
