guthmaer
if im right in assuming russ was found by the emperor fully mature given the social aspects of life he was living he must have had kids. hes a mans man surly his rep would be hit if he was unable to farther children.which leads me to think then his blodline would be passed down which would explain why ragnar is so great.and im sure it could apply for other primarchs too. lothbrok
while i understand your point and actually think that would be insanely awesome to have mini russ running around there are several things to consider here. first i'm pretty sure the Primarchs were sterile or at the very least that the development of their children would likely kill the mother. if you've seen that Will Smith movie Handcock then you proabaly know what i'm talking about there. Second the Emperor might not have been particularly pleased with having a number of werewolf "grand kids" and might have ordered them killed for whatever set of reasons. Thirdly who the hell would hit Russ! :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228254-children-of-russ/#findComment-2735205 Share on other sites
burningblades20
The Emperor hit Russ full in the face with his power fist and knocked Russ out cold for an hour so there's your answer to who would hit him but it did get Russ to swear fealty to his father after Russ beat him in the challenges of eating and drinking then lost to him in the challenge of combat because of that blow. guthmaer
i didnt mean hit as hit more like his manliness would be in question.i know its all unlikely its just would be a good explanation for the gifted marines. Growler67
As stated, I think the Primarks were sterile which is why the advent of the Geneseed is such a prominent factor in what a Space Marine is. They are all sterile which is why recovery of the geneseed after one has fallen is of such import. jamsight
Why do people keep bringing up the whole are space marines rutting ? It's a game and young children play so to avoid those interesting questions GW just say space marine have it beat out of them and given xenos to kill. Primarchs probably are sterile so that their loyalties where only ever to the Emperor can't conquer the galaxy with a herd of kids waiting at home homeworld.
