c-wrex
So in the unit profile for the brotherhood champion in his stat line under # of attacks there is only an asterisk. You follow the asterisk and find his perfect warrior rule for his sword in close combat. He has a stombolter, it's in his profile. Sooo...how many attacks does he have for shooting purposes? Whitefireinferno
The same amount as normal and if you mean attacks in combat he has special rules for that so read them... henrywalker
ok so any guy can pick up any gun he likes and squeeze the trigger. that gun then shoots a certain amount of shots as determined by the gun itself. this does not change depending on the character. in close combat the storm bolter in effect does nothing (yes in the books they shoot at each other in close combat but it isn't represented in game terms) he uses hi sword to do one of the three things mentioned (or four or however many it is) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228330-brotherhood-champion/#findComment-2735971 Share on other sites
Gentlemanloser
yes in the books they shoot at each other in close combat but it isn't represented in game terms Well, it's sot of represented by Pistols (and True Grit when it was around) counting as a CCW. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228330-brotherhood-champion/#findComment-2735985 Share on other sites
Dexo
A storm bolter don't have the pistol rule så et don't grant a ekstra attack. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228330-brotherhood-champion/#findComment-2735990 Share on other sites
Chengar Qordath
A storm bolter don't have the pistol rule så et don't grant a ekstra attack. It doesn't have to be a pistol to grant the extra attack, it just needs to be a weapon specifically noted as being one-handed (which all pistols are by default. While that is an important distinction to make, storm bolters still don't grant the extra attack in close combat since despite how they're shown on the GK models themselves, the rules never say that they use Storm Bolters as one-handed weapons. Impactwinter
Chengar, models get +1 attack for having two close-combat weapons, which a pistol is specifically, not two 1 handed weapons Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228330-brotherhood-champion/#findComment-2736163 Share on other sites

Chengar, reread the BRB; you have this wrong. V Correct, there is no 1 handed or 2 handed weapons rule concerning attacks anymore. The only weapon that confers and extra attack in assault is anything with the Pistol special rule or a second close combat weapon. Barring that, it would have to have a specific rule made for it to confer a special rule. Q: What weapons count as single-handed weapons for the purposes of gaining additional attacks in close combat? (p37)A: All pistols, close combat weapons and any weapons that are specifically stated as single-handed weapons intheir rules. http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_Custom...version_1_2.pdf Next time, check the rules before you accuse someone of not reading BRB Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228330-brotherhood-champion/#findComment-2736814 Share on other sites
