Cpt. Blood Donator
depends on the termy your firing it at. if it has 2 wounds + id want to use the missile incase i get to instakill. though other than that assa cannon would be better particularly if you score a rending hit(though storm sheilds mitigate that a fair bit...) of course i wouldnt let termys take on termys on their own... that would be a not so good idea... That would be... Paladins eh? I think we got enough meltaguns to deal with those =) Assault cannons aren't that great against termies either, as a 6 and then 5+ aren't too great odds. I miss the old rending rules, but those clearly had to go.
Brother-Captain Devlonir
I use my Tactical Terminators with a Cyclone Missile Launcher and a 10 man Tactical Squad + Priest in many of my 1500+ points list as my ultimate gunline. They are a tough nut to crack on a home objective for any army. They are quite solid against both enemy shooting and enemy assault when put together in a huge FC/FNP bubble. And nothing beats the fun of an enemy making a mistake and putting his assault Hammer Unit within charge range of your terminators in your turn ;-)
Brother Chris
Some of these load outs are very expensive (655 ish for the full squad plus three terminator priests and they aren't troops). Most people on B&C seem to play lower than 2000. I usually play 2000-2500 points and it would be hard to justify these sorts of numbers. They are also a world away from the Space Hulk models, which only have two assault figures, one with a hammer, one with claws. For maximum Spacehulk-ness it would be the 10 man squad led by Lorenzo and with the flamer and the assault cannon. The new Grey knight terminator apothecary could be used as is to represent a sanguinary priest (with a BA head instead of the helm, perhaps). I'm considering whether to use the bits to convert one of the space hulk guys (in this case Gideon or Claudio) but I'm not sure how the two types of plastic would combine. Omnio looks very Apothecary-like if you could change his weapons. Personally, the next time I field them will be a 5 man squad, one heavy weapon, with terminator priest and chaplain, at about 450 points. They will hit anything and survive most things, while still leaving you some points for marines who can actually take objectives or move fast when deployed.
