hi all

ive been lurking here a fair while im usually a dirty xenos so these boards well i read but don't input much

 

after reading the Horus heresy collected visions ive decided to do a project ive always thought of starting:- Adeptus mechnicus Forge temple defenders

 

i have ideas for colourful units from there and would like input ie does it sound cool / stupid what else could i put in etc etc

these are where my thoughts have lead me thus far

 

Tech Priest Assassin , using a death cult assassin as basis , twin pistols, mechandrites grav thruster legs /possible energy blade on one of the mechandrites

 

brain / conciousness in jar , flanked by castlean battle robots, rocket propelled locomotion , he will have a servo harness attached to the tank somehow (not sure of yet) might use servo skull in a tank

 

Limbless adept on planaquin , multi legged thinking of making this guy a genologist, or biologist , hes fat , has slaves, has no limbs, mechandrites stil feed him,

hes surrounded by tripod organic warriors

 

priestess of mars korath zeth the 6th , has servitor bodyguards

 

i tried reading mechanicum for other ideas but found it quite dull, if anybody has any ideas from there that would be great

 

also the kabon project , this is heretical i know so a loyal mechanicus army probably wouldn't have it, or would it?

 

wheeled skiff viechle, maybe a tank / transport of some type , using de raider as base and altering it

 

the fabricator colonel , the temples chief, hes not a radical bit he doesn't exactly stop people from studding xenos, but he hates chaos so any dark mechanics are executed, large , servo harness, has servo robots that fly around him making sure his systems are working , caries a , forge chain axe, and , has 4 glowing eyes, , caries a bizarre timer (like a hourglass)

 

confessor / priest, orb as only "visual input device", has mechandrites, carried by a liquid metal platform, has mechanical impish guardians, inferno pistol , axe, large cone head , brass mouthpiece

 

thats all i have so far id really appreciate help

 

if you think its dumb please chime in, i just want to make a realy cool looking army. ill probaly use the witch hunter dex

Sounds like you have a pretty clear idea of what you want to go with, so I say get started and have fun from there. I find when doing conversions as I work on some I get other ideas. Rummage through your bits box or browse bits stores for ideas and think of how they could be used in ways not particularly inteded for.
