madscuzzy
We have been doing a local campaign for the last few weeks, climaxing with an APOC battle. The events are based off the Helsreach book that ADB wrote... Anyways, here is my take on the Ordinatus for the APOC battle. I've loosely based off the epic model.. and for the most part is modular. Not too sure how long I would like to keep this, as this was built solely for the battle and is more likely than not going to be function as a massive prop with little in game action. Only thing I can say... Lots of rivets... lots of rivets.... http://scuzworks.com/SL40K/Ordinatus%20Armageddon/WIP/IMG_7425.JPG http://scuzworks.com/SL40K/Ordinatus%20Armageddon/WIP/IMG_7426.JPG http://scuzworks.com/SL40K/Ordinatus%20Armageddon/WIP/IMG_7427.JPG http://scuzworks.com/SL40K/Ordinatus%20Armageddon/WIP/IMG_7429.JPG It will be painted... JeffJedi
Awesome work! Looks just like the epic model. It will look great when painted. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228524-ordinatus-armageddon/#findComment-2739022 Share on other sites

Olis
Sweet baby jesus! Ordinatus! It's been a while since I've seen one of those. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228524-ordinatus-armageddon/#findComment-2739038 Share on other sites
madscuzzy
It is fairly expensive... although the 3 chassis are still intact and can be broken back down to make their respective vehicles, meaning Ordinatus will die...XD Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228524-ordinatus-armageddon/#findComment-2739056 Share on other sites
Vaaish
Those razorback turrets work pretty well for the smaller ordinatus weapons. It was something I'd considered using when I built my epic scale ordinatus minorus, but didn't have available so I ended up with an adjusted chimera turret instead. the damned artificer
Looking awesome ! All I see it needs are a few large opus machinas to show that the lovely Martians made this (yes I am a mechanicus adept ;) ) I suggest you also paint this in a nice red scheme too ... Gray would also be acceptable. Hehe Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228524-ordinatus-armageddon/#findComment-2739389 Share on other sites
Firepower
Such a massive, gratuitous, obscene display of firepower....I think I may weep with joy. This must be painted to the highest caliber of awesome. Durus
Considering you are going to take it apart again you've put an incredible amount of work into this. Looks really impressive, nice work! MeatGrinder
Not big enough and needs more rivets I think. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228524-ordinatus-armageddon/#findComment-2739501 Share on other sites
madscuzzy
Yeah it could be bigger but I didn't want to. The rivets you can probably see are the larger ones. Lemme douse a coat of paint on it then we shall see better. Olis
Where Ordinatus and guns that make a mockery of over-compensation are concerned: There's no school like the old school. :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228524-ordinatus-armageddon/#findComment-2740909 Share on other sites

Retrograde
What else can I say except... you win. Also, the gun barrel size looks right to me. So often with large models like this or their epic equivalents, very little attention is given to the calibre of the weapon. This beast looks like it could hold, oh, at least 20 shells :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228524-ordinatus-armageddon/#findComment-2741044 Share on other sites

EPK
Not big enough and needs more rivets I think. Maybe that is sarcasm, but I think it is more or less the right size when you use EPIC as the comparison... http://img389.imageshack.us/img389/8161/img6757smlhi8.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228524-ordinatus-armageddon/#findComment-2741553 Share on other sites
AJB2K3
Very nice work but (after watching the history of tanks) why do people put rivits on? A single shell and a rivited plates pops off causing d6 wounds to anyone in range. Rivits are just plan stupid even for the backwards adapts of mars. BTW what gun is the main gun built from? hushrong
That thing is a beast. Interesting to think that a shell fired from its main gun is as big as that bike!
