Lord Noble
The orange part of the gun looks like the business end of my Nerf Vulcan with some pieces off and some on.. -J Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228524-ordinatus-armageddon/page/2/#findComment-2741907 Share on other sites
maverike_prime
That thing is a beast. Interesting to think that a shell fired from its main gun is as big as that bike! or maybe the shell IS the bike.... Razblood
I notice a lot of people talking about shells being fired from them main gun, however if IIRC the main gun is a Nova Cannon and is therefore pretty much a super-sized melta gun. Which btw Ithink you have captured the design of perfectly ;) I shall now patiently await paint  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228524-ordinatus-armageddon/page/2/#findComment-2742861 Share on other sites

Which btw Ithink you have captured the design of perfectly ;) I shall now patiently await paint  I'd hate to correct you there, brother, but Nova Cannons (according to BFG fluff and Battlefleet Koronus) are bleeding great big railguns. The shells fired can be changed though, in BF Koronus ("plasma warheads" and "implosive devices")... Whether or not the weapon IS a Nova Cannon, however, I wouldn't know. Plus there's all that wonderful free BFG fluff. Skolia
I remember reading somewhere that Nova Cannons fire a building-sized projectile (space battle) - which would make it more like a mass driver/MAC. On-topic, that model is fantastic. It looks like it wants to nom a mega-Gargant. In the face. With pain. madscuzzy
As promised, here is the primed version... http://scuzworks.com/SL40K/Ordinatus%20Armageddon/WIP/IMG_7440.jpg and some basic WIP spraying http://scuzworks.com/SL40K/Ordinatus%20Armageddon/WIP/IMG_7450.jpg which lead into this (with help from friends as i needed to get this done up fast for the game... in a few hours..XD) http://scuzworks.com/SL40K/Ordinatus%20Armageddon/WIP/IMG_7466.jpg side view http://scuzworks.com/SL40K/Ordinatus%20Armageddon/WIP/IMG_7468.jpg I thought the blue might be cool... realistic to the weapon or not... Hubernator
First thing that came to mind was the huge cannon for Da Mangler campaign: http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m2120012_P1Mb1.jpg Not quite it seems  Nice kitbash. Firepower
It's so big...and shooty...and shiny now....*makes child-like 'gimme gimme' hands* Yeah, giving that thing actual shooting rules would pretty much mean "On a role of 2+, remove the enemy army from the table. Replace it with an appropriately sized smudge or crater." Still, it's a shame to relegate such a outrageous demonstration of firepower to the status of 'decoration.' :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228524-ordinatus-armageddon/page/2/#findComment-2743551 Share on other sites

Olis
Even if it was a rush job on the paint I am impressed with how you've brought it out of the realms of wip and toward the glorious battlefields of 40k. Razblood
Point the first: I stand corrected on the Nova cannon's weapon type (Still got the WD which had the epic rules for the Ordinati) Point the second: Damn! That looks fine :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228524-ordinatus-armageddon/page/2/#findComment-2743927 Share on other sites
Sons of Horus
congratulations on being one of the VERY FEW to actually finish something that big ^_^ IIRC the nova cannons on Ordinatii and the ones used in void warfare are different. In space they are much larger mass drivers/rail guns. On an Ordinatus they are plasma weapons.
