Ordinatus Armageddon

I notice a lot of people talking about shells being fired from them main gun, however if IIRC the main gun is a Nova Cannon and is therefore pretty much a super-sized melta gun.

Which btw Ithink you have captured the design of perfectly ;)

I shall now patiently await paint

I'd hate to correct you there, brother, but Nova Cannons (according to BFG fluff and Battlefleet Koronus) are bleeding great big railguns. The shells fired can be changed though, in BF Koronus ("plasma warheads" and "implosive devices")...

Whether or not the weapon IS a Nova Cannon, however, I wouldn't know.

In the one Ultramarines book, it specifically mentioned the crew loading a great honking big shell into a greater honkinger bigger breech. Plus there's all that wonderful free BFG fluff.

I remember reading somewhere that Nova Cannons fire a building-sized projectile (space battle) - which would make it more like a mass driver/MAC.

On-topic, that model is fantastic. It looks like it wants to nom a mega-Gargant. In the face. With pain.

I thought the blue might be cool... realistic to the weapon or not...

First thing that came to mind was the huge cannon for Da Mangler campaign:

Not quite it seems  Nice kitbash.

It's so big...and shooty...and shiny now....*makes child-like 'gimme gimme' hands*

Yeah, giving that thing actual shooting rules would pretty much mean "On a role of 2+, remove the enemy army from the table. Replace it with an appropriately sized smudge or crater." Still, it's a shame to relegate such a outrageous demonstration of firepower to the status of 'decoration.' :)

Even if it was a rush job on the paint I am impressed with how you've brought it out of the realms of wip and toward the glorious battlefields of 40k. Bravo! :)

Point the first: I stand corrected on the Nova cannon's weapon type (Still got the WD which had the epic rules for the Ordinati)

Point the second: Damn! That looks fine :D

congratulations on being one of the VERY FEW to actually finish something that big ^_^

IIRC the nova cannons on Ordinatii and the ones used in void warfare are different. In space they are much larger mass drivers/rail guns. On an Ordinatus they are plasma weapons.

Indeed, you are correct, brother, according to Lexicanum. I think it's my turn to stand corrected! :D
