BERZERKER!
Hi guys, before i begin, i hope i'm not breaking any rules here, but it seemed the most appropriate forum. This is (sort of) technically not a 40k question. I recently aquired Command and Conquer 4, and am a fan of the concept work for the zone armour. So, i want to convert a squad of marines, or possibly terminators, to replicate the concept for the GDI Zone Enforcer unit. http://img851.imageshack.us/img851/2435/gdizoneenforcerconcept.jpg So, i wanted to know peoples opinions on any good parts to use for, well, any of the conversion really. The main thing im struggling to think of is a pice to make the canopy/viewport. Thanks all Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228553-converting-zone-armour/ Share on other sites
Durus
The way these look you'd probably better start with some tau stealthsuits, as the only thing you'd really have to convert would be the feet and canopy. I'd take a look at building the canopies out of plasticcard (on SMs, on stealthsuits you'd get away with a bit of GS), if you don't want them to be transparent. chromedog
Terminators would actually be suitable for those. The tricky part is the armoured canopy part. You could get around that by trimming a SM shoulder pauldron to fit the front (head) area (it's mainly removing the bottom rim and rounding off those two corners). Existing terminator heavy weapons can then be used, or modified without much in the way of trouble. I have made similar models using GWs plastic termis for Heavy Assault power armour for other games (Stargrunt).
