GK commision work done for me

yowsaman

Recommended Posts

allready posted these guy's in another topic over at the ordo inquisition. but probably not everybody goes there :D so i taught i would post them here also.

These are two models that are done for me by Artisans workshop as a commission job.

The first one is a GK librarian and the second one a rifle dread.

in my opinion a verry nice job this guy did for me. especially with the libby who's unique in his own way as i wanted to use a different model then the one that is avaliable. The dreadnought does need some little finishing on the banner and a few washes. Otherwise is al done.

still to come some terminators and GSSS.

comments alway's welcome as alway's.

They dread looks fantastic, especially due to the weathering - though I can't imagine them getting rusty due to a lack of constant maintenance..... And the Sang Guard mask being painted as a face really creeps me out! <_<

It looks awesome, but creepy as well, it reminds me of Robocop with his helmet off.

Unintentionally you have created the best facepalm picture since Picard. ;)

First up - thanks for all the positive comments etc. All criticisms, positives and negatives, are very much appreciated ;)

I thought I'd elaborate on the autocannon question from earlier, since I'm not sure if I even explained this much to Yowsaman, oops. They are Forgeworld but neither of us noticed they have two types of autocannon, one type for one side of the dread and two types for the other side. The matching 'other' side doesn't seem to appear in the search options and I only found it after extensively scanning through the Forgeworld site wondering why we had a mismatched pair!

In short I had to chop all the barrels off, lengthen some of them and do some filling and filing to match, and swap them around so that the two sides looked symmetrical. The only noticeable bit is the magazines where you can see the rounds on his right, but the left hand ones are covered. Still, it makes for some fairly unique looking weapons :P

I'm glad the Sanguinary mask is creeping people out, kinda what I had in mind for the guy, though putting the eyeballs into it was pretty tricky work!

Also, just had a thought...

Would anyone be interested if I did a project log of the stormraven when it arrives? Its surely big enough to warrant some serious WIP shots.

How would you feel about that Yowsaman?

Prime Directives:

1. Serve the public trust

2. Purge the Daemon

3. Abhor the Witch

4. (depends on what Mat Ward says it is)

Seriously, great models! I do agree that he looks like a haloed Robocop, so good on you for that! And it is an epic facepalm.

Very nice work, overall on all your GKs!

And yes, Stormraven WIP would be good to see. I'm slogging my way for the one I got for my Flesh Tearers... though that project is unfortunately on hold until I'm finished moving back to the States. I, for one, would be interested in seeing how you tackle it.
