The only things i haven't gotten around to photographing yet are the two Drop Pods. The photo of the Company Captain didn't come out very well. I also have a Rhino that i haven't painted yet. IIRC on the old GW site that was the chaplain used in the "how to paint chaplains" tutorial and he was done in exactly the same way as it was also a crimson fist in the tutorial. Praxiss Posted April 29, 2011 Author Share Posted April 29, 2011 With the scouts the "fabric" parts of the armour is painted in codex grey. My thinking was the armoru would be a certain colour scheme, and when they settled in to snipe, they would draw the camo cloak around them. so the 2 wouldn't need to necessarily match. Regarding the moudl lines........yeah. I must have gotten over excited and started painting too soon. Arse. This is the first time i have put any serious effort into painting. Grizzly_bear Posted May 6, 2011 Share Posted May 6, 2011 I really like what you are doing here brother, but a others have said....mould lies etc take away the whole 'hard men irradicating all orks from space" thing.... A few things of constructive criticism from my self if I may.... The blue...to me looks too solid and blocky....more depth/shading highlighting....along with the 'crimson' fists.... Also this is just me....but I really dislike IF and CF models having axes.....to me axes are a space wolves thang....not chapters that define the art of duelling and blademanship like IFs/CFs do..... Apart from that keep it up as I'm Also building a CF company....be it the 4th and yes I will have a Cpt cortez....but I'll be watching your thread with your updates...keep it coming fella.
