Eorek
As the title suggests I'm playing a purifier heavy list. I have 3 squads of purifiers (all 10 men in a rhino) and I'm using different colours on the shoulder pads to distingguish them from eachother. So far I've made a squad with the purifier white shoulders and a squad with Blood red-ish shoulders but I'm kinda in need of inspiration for my last squad. Been thinking about making them 50/50 red/white split horisontaly, make them black or just leave them in the metal colour of their armour... what do you guys think would be fluff wise(think each greyknight squad had something to make them unique in the grey knight omnibus atleast)? I am also going to paint my rhinos to match the squads. So feel free to brainstorm about how to seperate the squads:P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228729-purifiers-colour-scheme/ Share on other sites
DeathKorpsman
White seems to be a prominent color with Purifiers, signified by the helmet color scheme GW came up with. Black, red, gold, and silver are prominent with GK's in general and so could be included in your color scheme. If you wanted to get creative, perhaps a checkered squad marking (quarters?) with red and white squares and black skulls in the white squares. This would clearly differentiate them from the all white and all red squads you already have. Post some pics when they are done. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228729-purifiers-colour-scheme/#findComment-2742138 Share on other sites
KaosRaptor
Well, you've got white and read already, that's good. I wouldn't suggest using black though. The original white of the Purifiers symbolises what they are (the most incorruptible of the incorruptible, remember? ), while the red can be used to symbolise the cleansing flame they realease. Black doesn't really match either of those...IMO. Maybe use something like gold instead? Would contrast with the rest of the knights at least, and isn't really an "impure" colour. TL;DR: Use gold. Hope that helps ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228729-purifiers-colour-scheme/#findComment-2742163 Share on other sites
Eorek
Well... problem with using gold is that all my knights of flame are using the inscribed shoulders which I've made golden... would look alike my knights of flame... and that I do not want^_^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228729-purifiers-colour-scheme/#findComment-2742174 Share on other sites
DeathKorpsman
In the Imperium, black is a pure color. I don't see a problem with using black in their heraldry, especially in moderation. You get the idea though. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228729-purifiers-colour-scheme/#findComment-2742189 Share on other sites
