Crusader of Dorn Posted April 30, 2011 Share Posted April 30, 2011 I'm back after much time and painting again which is relative, been searching for that long term project and finally settled of a custom chapter of my own which i have named Marines Invictus A brief IA article is in the works, They are a codex, fleet based chapter with a dark secret. Scythe of the Emperor, last I checked, were black and yellow. These guys don't even have the same pattern of color placement. Crusader of Dorn Posted May 1, 2011 Author Share Posted May 1, 2011 Thanks The scythes are indeed black and yellow, My chapter is identical with the exception that i have exchanged purple for yellow and added gold shoulder trims (second company designation) Perhaps this model wasnt the best for showing my chapter scheme plus the pics aren't great. Firepower Posted May 1, 2011 Share Posted May 1, 2011 Looks a bit better, but still kind of green. Might just be a trick of the eye putting a fuzzy black next to purple. Speaking fo which, teh color scheme looks pretty good. The chapter Idea (atleast the colours) came from my favourite marine forces, black from the Templars, purple from the Soul Drinkers and the fact that they are a stern codex chapter comes from the Ultramarines. 3 armies in one you see :lol: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Firepower Posted May 4, 2011 Share Posted May 4, 2011 Very well painted and an interesting kitbash. The one thing that seems off is his head/eyes. He seems....rapturous, to put it mildly. It may just be the lack of pupils and the tilt of his head that gives off that "Ohhhh yeaaaaaaaaaah" look.
