The left hand side of the Knight is decorated with Snazzy scroll work. The bolter and the other side of the armour appears to inconsistently lack ornementation. There are regions that still look sketchy and unpolished, if this was a portfolio piece you'd submitted to me, I'd keep looking. Fortunatly I'm not in the business of hiring artists

Usually when everything is heavily ornamented, it feels to me the eye doesn't really have anywhere to rest/doesn't know where to focus. This is why I kept most of the detail to the well lit and most visible sections.

I left the other regions sketchy for this reason.

Thanks all. Just had someone on dakka ask me to do a commission piece for their game room. Guess it was a good idea to post this on the forums

Sketchy drawings, dodgy anatomy and cliché motif - but good lighting. So keep up The good work :)

Um thanks I think, glad you like it ;)

Dammit, I thought this thread was going to be about a joke! YOU TRICKED ME! I demand more artwork from you as payment for my mental anguish and suffering of being tricked.

^ Obviously an American, we are sue happy over here :D

@ OP: Beautifully done. I too have a little bit of an issue with the proportions of the Grey Knight, but everything else is perfect. Don't let the nitpickers bother you ;)

Will do as soon as I finish some more!

Agree, marine turned out a bit big, I think its just the shoulder plates though :woot: they DEFINITELY turned out big.

I quite like the marines proportions (although I thought it was TDA), the only problem I have with it is the storm bolter is the wrong arm, although I recognise this was necessary for the composition.

But all marines are ambidextrous :P

but you're right, ranged in the left hand, melee in the right hand is the usual setup.

Approved! Currently deciding whether to avatar this. :P

Two Qs: Do you have a Deviant Art account by any chance? And can we expect any further GK/Inq/SoB artwork on the way?

As for the ambidextrous thing, you can always flip the picture if you wanna be that consistent. Or would that be an act of sacrilege upon your craftsmanship? :whistling:

Keep up the top work.

No, I don't have a DA account, I have a website, which is in my signature.

Sometimes things look funny when you flip them, and Draigo has his stormbolter on his right arm, so I figure its alright for the moment.

Next thing on my list in a commission work for someone on Dakka with some dreadnoughts and a techmarine.

Nice artwork!

As does the Crowe model, and various artwork (Paladins, Brother-Captains, etc) in the codex have the SB on their right arm, so I wouldn't worry about it. :cuss
