Deathwatch RPG characters

Hi all

I recently started playing the Deathwatch game and I'm really enjoying it. Up until now though we have been using generic SM figures primes in white as our characters... it does the job but it looks pants. So today, me and my friend finally came around to converting and magnetizing our in game avatars with a bunch of bitz we have been collecting for the last few weeks.

Both marines are magnetized so that weapons can easily be swapped and helmets can be removed for added epicness.

In those pics, the GS hasn't cured yet and there is still some really small things that need to be corrected, but that's basically how they should look finished for now. Of course, if I'm posting those pics it's because I'm always looking for other people's suggestions to improve my minis, so don't be shy if you have a good idea.

Anyways, here is my character, Brother Actaeon Asklepios of the Ultramarines:

brother uccello? doesnt that mean brother bird?

anywho; nice conversions - the brass etch really makes a difference, and always loved that DW shoulder pad, though if you can get your hands on the plastic ones id use those - the metal ones always seem a weird shape/size to me

I don't know if it means brother bird lol, my friend took the name after some rennaissance painter I think. We just thought it sounded cool.

I know what you mean about the metal shoulder pad though. Just after I ordered mine, I got to see some that another friend had ordered and his were pretty badly cast and mishaped. I had decided to use the plastic ones, but when my metal pads arrived they were in perfect shape and I have to say I prefer the look of those with all the engravings on the pad.

@maverike_prime: Well considering you'll be using that mini for a long time and magnetizing marines is fairly easy, I really encourage you to go this route too.

Oh I know. I'm becoming quit good at magnetizing. I'm just not looking forward to magnatizing a tech marine because the model is all metal.
