Dice made of win ;)

Recommended Posts

I'm actually trying to figure out the best way to do a bulk order. I might be able to pick up dice with that logo and in various colors in a larger lot and then retail them back out at the next price point down. So, I buy enough to get them for $.60 each and then sell them back out for $.75 each (+shipping). Yeah, I make $.15 each, but it saves you guys $.25 each if you wanted twenty five dice or less.

The downside is that the margin is too low for Ebay, so you'd have to trust me, although we could do it through the wife's Paypal account.

I just placed a bulk order, it should take about three weeks to get it in. Five different colors of dice, all with gold logo and pips.

Mainly the plain gold on black like in the OP, but then some of each of the "Scarab" colors with gold pips and logo. The guy from Chessex says that the pictures aren't the best ones for color contrast.

Anyway, I'll put up the pictures when I get them and we can work out something on the payment side. IIRC, Paypal would do the job fine since you can do a charge back if you don't get the product.

Sorry, no white on black ones. Half of them are gold on black (like OP) and the other half are split among the four Scarab colors. I'll get an update just before the order starts processing, but it should be mid-June at the earliest for delivery.

Don't worry, I'll post back here.

I'm looking at $.75 each (instead of $1.00 each if you order 25 or less dice from Chessex) and shipping inside the USA should be $5.20 or less. That is for the small flat rate box, but I might be able to get a bit better price by bubble wrapping into one of the flat rate envelopes. I have bubble and small baggies, so I'll toss that in, I'm not trying to make money on this deal.

Main thing is the package, I'm leaning towards the box since the envelope will be more prone to damage. I'll also check directly when I actually have dice in hand, it might be even cheaper. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if it is cheaper than that, but that will give you a shipping price to think about.

Update, I just got word from the guys at Chessex that the dice are finished and if they didn't leave today, they'll be heading this way tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have some pics up by the end of the week so everyone can make some choices.

And maybe the most reliable way to kill my Tank Hunting Cyclone Terminators will stop being forcing them to roll an armor save and for my Storm Shield Assault Terminators, forcing them to make an invulnerable save. :tu:

Dice are in and counted.

Send me a PM and I'll give you the wife's PayPal. $.75 + shipping and if you want the shipping cost, go to the USPS website and check the flat rate boxes for the rate. I think I can go a bit cheaper if I send them in a flat rate envelope, but I'm not sure of the reliability of that. I wouldn't suggest it myself (IOW, I would pay a little more for a box).

I used some on Saturday and they work just fine. Rolled them out on several different tables and they are easy to read. They rolled about average it seemed, but I won, so it's all good.

Ohhhh, nice!. Is that $0.75 per 6 or one, and do you know if paypal do the currency exchange rate automaticaly?

Just sorted the way paypal works.

Chessex charges per side of the die that isn't a number, so they are $.75 each.

Okay, I've gotten the PMs so far, but SWMBO fussed at me. It seems, at least for the USA locations, it might be cheaper to do them by weight for these orders. So instead of dancing around with refunding postage money when the post office actually weighs the package, I'm going to get them packed and let her weigh them at her office to get an actual price for shipping them. Then I'll give you a reply with her Paypal account with the total.

Not trying to give a run around here, but as much of a price break as possible.

I picked blanks with pips the same color and matched the symbol to it. Unfortunately, something I read on the invoice makes me think I could have gone with all white, which would have given the white pips and symbol on all of them, so if I do it again, I'll ask about that.

Good news, bad news. Bad news first, we are stuck with Flat Rate, which is $5.20 for USA, $11.95 for Canada/Mexico and $13.95 for most of the rest of the world according to USPS. Unless you order more than will fit in a small Flat Rate box.

Good news: Drop the price down to $0.65 per die. I messed up when I figured it the first time off the top of my head last month.

Okay, sending back PMs, but nothing will go out until Monday or Tuesday. Still trying to play catch up from two weeks ago and had to babysit my mother-in-law yesterday unexpectedly, she's fine, but needs someone sitting with her during in home rehab.
