Flesh Tearers specialists-Helmet Colour?

I spent 3 hours with search-fu and found nothing. Here's my question-Do the Flesh Tearers have blue, yellow and gold helmets for their specialists like regular BAs? What about their sang guard and honour guard? Gold armour on those? DC in black and red? I know it is my choice but I want to be fluffy. Any help I can get from the brotherhood is appreciated. I am starting my 4th army and need some inspiration if nothing else. Thanks.

Sang guard and DC like the BA. Honor guard, don't know. Specialists, no, all black.

In one of the blood angel books the honour guard have gold helmets. I think because there such an under strength chapter all the basic grunts (tact, assault and dev) are trained to do everything.

Thanks for the info fellas. I am relieved that I am not stuck doing blue and yellow helms. Black DC and gold SG is also a relief. I think I am going to do the SG a bit less shiny. Thanks again.

Yeah in their index astartes way back when it said that because their numbers were so limited a marine would hop around from tactical, assault and dev squads.

EDIT: Actually I think I may have found it a couple of years back and posted it here, I'll check my posts, there are only like 29.

Hey,

From what I gather I am allowed to post small parts of games workshop material here so please correct me if I am wrong.

The index astartes article states:

'Each marine is expected to be proficient in Tactical, Assualt and even Devastator duties...individual squads will rapidly change their role to suit the mission and equipment on hand.'

That suggests that there would be no difference in helmets.

Canon states that all Marines have black helmets. Their Deatch Company and Sanguinary Guard follow the schemes of the Blood Angels. They have blue Librarians. Sanguinary Priests have White helmets.

One of James Swallow's Blood Angel novels includes mention of one of Seth's personal Honour Guard relaying a message to Dante. In the passage he is recognised by the gold Helmet he is carrying.

Black Library is considered loose canon so you can choose to ignore it if you wish. However I think nicely weathered gold looks nice on the Vets.

For my Flesh Tearers:

Sanguinary Guard - Golden armor, black/grey feathers

Tactical/Assault/Devastators - Red armor, Black helmet and shoulder pads

Veterans - Red armor, Black Helmet, Golden trim on shoulder pads

Honor Guard - Red armor, Golden helmet, Golden trim on shoulder pads

Priests - Red armor, white helmet, black shoulder pads with white trims

Librarians - Blue armor, black shoulder pads

DC - Black, black, black!

I don't know if this follows any fluff or anything but in my mind it looks good :wallbash:
