Olis
It seems a solid enough plan, nothing wrong with it at all. Are you going to highlight as well? :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228853-what-paint-should-i-use-ultramarines/#findComment-2743866 Share on other sites
space marine schnauzer
I use ultramarine blue(GW paint) over a Krylon black undercoat. Is that good/bad? Olis
I use ultramarine blue(GW paint) over a Krylon black undercoat. Is that good/bad? Well, provided the undercoat doesn't mask details of the model, it's ok. I would suggest using a basecoat of Mordian Blue, though, it'll provided a deeper base colour than Ultramarine Blue. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/228853-what-paint-should-i-use-ultramarines/#findComment-2744691 Share on other sites

I use UM Blue as my basecoat because that's the color that I want them to be. I feel the usual Ultramarines schemes are a bit too dark blue. I been using a black undercoat with the top coat as UM blue. I think it looks dark enough for me. I tried a white under coat and the marines turned abit too light. But I'm not the greatest painter..
