Great combination of bits. I think the pose has great potential, but is 'not quite there'. Static or slowly-walking models need to look like their centre of gravity is suspended directly over the. Running/jumping/cartwheeling models can afford to have their centre of gravity swung out in their direction of motion.

2 ideas (you may or may not need to do both, see how you go):

If you rotate his torso at the waist so the powerfist is closer to his left knee that will bring his eyeline into alignment with his direction of movement

AND/OR

Straighten his left shin to be perfectly vertical from the knee down (at present, from the frontal view, his left foot is closer to the centreline of his body than his left knee - the shin slopes inward a bit).

Oh, and do you hate superglue frosting yet? Have you tried polystyrene cement? Humbrol and rexel brands are good.

Holy tapdancing crap, that guy is intimidating as hell, dude. I can almost imagine hundreds of guardsmen running and screaming in terror from this madman. I never fail to be amazed at your conversion work, brother, the Champ turned out awesome. Looking forward to the next insane creation!

looking good, despite some glue frosting on the powerfist wrist and a lot of mold lines (which i'm sure you'll clean before painting :) )

keep it up, i really like where this is going ;)

Alright, you warp forsaken bastards you get what you want and the one thing I hate above all...

Paint...

It's only a test mini really. It's my first real attempt at any kind of painting and I think it sucks (looks even worse on the damn pictures DX )

just a few tidy ups in places where the silver and bone colours have gone over things they arent supposed to and i think there would be nothing wrong with it, looks nice and weatherd whitch i think all chaos marines should look.

As much as you complain about painting your guys ( ), you've done a pretty good job, brother. The blood coming out of the spine/powerpack and the throat muscles is a real nice touch, and the eyes look....disturbing, lol. I'd still suggest basing your guys in Dhneb Stone instead of Chaos Black, as the black is still kinda poking through. Other than that, very nice brother.

Great job with the characterful poses there friend. Your marines look like a chaos marine should. Trophies, weapons, spikes, cloth, bones, wierd warp bits, et all.

The paintjob doesn't look bad,. he has a very rotted flesh look. Maybe just hit him up with a few more light washes to even out the color and he's spot on man. He looks pretty disgusting .. but you know.. in a good way :)

  • 3 weeks later...

We're back! Here's the news, all the news that's new and improved.

Brought to you by the Mordian Guard, the sweetest smelling army in the Imperium...

Oh wait... Wrong place... >.>

Evening brothers, I must apologize for my tardiness but, I'm back and I've got loads of new models for you guys to enjoy.

First up is the first member of my 2nd squad, and one of my personal favorites so far, brother Adragor. I actually started painting him, but I'll post up pics of that later. He's still a WIP

Second up, we've got our first terminator, and oh how I'm happy with this fellow.

and in case any of you wanted to see, here's a size comparison between my terminator, one of my marines, and one of my traitor guard.

and I guess I'll leave you gents off with one little extra dose of fun, this is my WIP sorcerer. He's proving to be a wee bit of a hassle with this GS but, I'll get the bugger.

Jeez, your conversions never fail to amaze, brother. I'm really digging the Termie's heavy flamer conversion too, man, nice touch. Don't forget to drill out the barrel though, lol. Keep up the great work, brother!

I like the termie flamer too, made one like that awhile back because the standard CSM one looked silly. One suggestion I was given for mine was to sculpt/model on a daemons head. Never got to it but with your converting skills it will look ace!

Also, your earlier paint test mini, VERY NICE! It has a nice 'been through hell' look that fits fantastically. paint them up like that and free hand the bone on the armor and youre ace.

Hehe, thanks guys. I really appreciate the support. :)

1000 Heathens- Yeah, I got a drill for the barrels now, just need to get used to it.

Hushrong- Hmmm... A daemon head you say? I must look into this....

Vairocanum- don't worry, you won't have to wait long. He's already almost done. ;)

Looking good man .. I agree the Termie is looking very nice, the flamer and axe are a nice combo. You seem to like the standing on a rock look, maybe try some cork, you can make some nice looking outcroppings and boulders, might save you some loot on green stuff :( Keep it up man..
