2k per side VS DE and E

My friend , his BA and me are having a friendly game vs xeno scum and I was wondering what you guys would recommend. Last time we fought em and made the mistake of playing too defensively so 2 of our squads ended up eating fire from their combined armies for several turns.

Rune priest ended up being a waste of points trough the game as he sat not being able to use his psychic powers due to rune stones from the eldar player...and the farseer sat in the back so i wasnt even in range to nullify his own powers....in a previous game Njal worked wonders by sitting still as his name as the storm caller earned itself time and again.(those powers that cant be nullified are to die for)

We've decided to make the xenos pay this time, and dye the white blade red with the blood of the coward.

Don't know about DE. But you have 48" weapons and Eldars (mostly) don't. Whirlwind or two, Long Fangs with ML, and scouts for that pesky tanks should do the work. And remember to kill the kill the Prism, and Walkers first, then Reapers. Treat Scorpions as a standard marines (3+ save, and additional attacks, but lack of strenght and toughtnes). If he will be stupid enough to make a scout move with them, just shoot and charge. Banshees are just a practise target for GH (unless they are not in combat). Land raiders aren't too good against eldar kind because of their lances and xenos granades. Razorbacks may be your frieds thou.
thanks for the advice. I wasnt too worried about the eldar player since last time he was (other than his dark reapers and rangers) free kill points, the DE with shimmer shield and other such bs is what gave us grief (also the fact that my LF were killed turn one by a dark reaper exarch's wep)

If you're facing skimmers and jet bikes, the enemy will have a real mobility advantage on you. Fortunately, your Blood Angel ally should be able to run a few of them down, but you don't want to be caught with your whole army sitting de-mechanized in midfield with relatively little to shoot at, so bring some long-ranged guns to slow them down, or at least limit their hiding places. Move deliberately and thoughtfully instead of just driving towards the bad guys and don't isolate parts of your army that you don't intend to use as bait. Take and hold objectives or commit to attack worthwhile unit clusters that will have a hard time running away from you.

Of course, if they have mostly static armies, your job gets a lot easier.
