Chairman_woo
May I present to you: Lord Inquisitor Johannus Titor, of the ordo Malleus. http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac172/chairman_woo/Grey%20Knights/Inquisitor/hdr_00031_0.jpg?t=1304506179 http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac172/chairman_woo/Grey%20Knights/Inquisitor/hdr_00030_0.jpg?t=1304506179 http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac172/chairman_woo/Grey%20Knights/Inquisitor/hdr_00032_0.jpg?t=1304506179 http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac172/chairman_woo/Grey%20Knights/Inquisitor/hdr_00033_0.jpg?t=1304506179 Anyone who feels the need to carry this many books has got to be pretty dangerous! I'll be adding him and some of my other recent work updates to my Project log soon when I actually get some decent time at home, but for now heres something I did on a bored evening at work (I'm a support worker so I have alot of downtime on shift). The raggedy knife is supposed to be made from a saint or grandmasters thighbone or somesuch, & the shoulder psycannon is something I remember from the RPG years ago. I figure if anyone can get hold of a super fancy mind linked psycannon its going to be a badass senior Ordo Malleus Inquisitor like Johan here. I still need to add a few purity seals (especialy to cover that gap in his "loin robes") but I'm mostly pretty happy with him. Any suggestions welcome, I was considering making him a psyker but as he will mostly be rocking with the terminators in DS I have my reservations. Communion dosnt seem as usefull if you arnt starting on the table and his loadout seems a bit wasted for that job (I have a ordo xenos chap planned for that when I need it). Hammerhand however would be quite nice in a squad of termies (lets you jazz the force weapons with HH) but not shure its worth 30pts to make a T3 charachter an even more juicy target in CC. Plus he would have to swap out his hammer for a force sword which I cant decide about (I have no probls swapping the wepon on the model, I have a rather handsome force sword sat here waiting for an owner). So would he be better with hammerhand and a forcesword (and bumping him over 100pts)? or keeping the hammer and staying cheap (89pts with 3 skulls)? Extra S4 powerweapon attacks (with hh) are pretty handy, and I do worry about him being Initiative 1 and toughness 3 with the hammer. I feel like in CC the forcesword hammerhand is usually going to be better (due to initiative and being singled out) but its costs more pts, and his main job is bringing servoskulls and another relentless psycannon to the table so it may be a little redundant/unecessary for a unit that only needs to be "good enough" in CC. number6
I dig the conversion! :D I suggest you just leave the wargear as you have it: cheap and plenty effective. I would only make an OM TDA Inquisitor a psyker if I intended to attach him to a unit that didn't already have access to hammerhand. Yes, that can free up most GK units to then "activate" their NFWs, but the situations where you really need both Hammerhand and force weapons are relatively rare. Not common enough to warrant 30 pts expenditure, IMHO. YMMV of course. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/229023-kitbashed-inquisitor-of-woo/#findComment-2746725 Share on other sites
DV8
Anyone who feels the need to carry this many books has got to be pretty dangerous!... Thaughts? Works better as a Librarian :P An angry one because his fellow Grey Knights keep borrowing books but never putting them back where they belong! Chairman_woo
Works better as a Librarian ;) An angry one because his fellow Grey Knights keep borrowing books but never putting them back where they belong! DV8 I have an allmost comically oversized book for my libby when I get round to building him. It may quickly turn into an exsercise in how many books I can cram onto one model tho! Mazer Rackham
Definately an angry Librarian - who the hell would fail to put books back after a visit from this fellow? Awesome - love it. ;) Make a squad. The Emperor commands it. MR. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/229023-kitbashed-inquisitor-of-woo/#findComment-2746857 Share on other sites
