Drachnon
Point wise a space marine captain with a relic blade is as much as about 3 inquisitors with daemon weapon in which case I'd prefer 3 inquisitors (though not possible with 1 FOC) over the captain. Freman Bloodglaive
A Space Marine Captain with relic blade is 130 points. For that you get a guy with I5 WS6 S6 power weapon T4 and a 4+ invulnerable. 40 points buys you an Inquisitor with a daemon weapon. For that you get I4 WS4 (some random rolls) T3 and a 4+ armour save. Those three Inquisitors have a good chance of dying in one combat phase against said Captain. With stubborn leadership 10 and their low cost it's pretty obvious that the Inquisitor is there to provide a low cost HQ who acts as a support for the rest of your army. 68 points buys you a psyker in power armour who can have psychic communion allowing you to manipulate reserve rolls. He also has a force weapon, which isn't great, but does the job. If you're throwing him into a combat squad the ability to take rad grenades and hammerhand is very valuable, or by buying a few servo skulls he can help bring in deep striking reserves more accurately. Daemon weapons are random, random equals unreliable, and unreliable means don't take this item.
