SpaceWolf13C
So I wanted to maximize the effect of Saga of the Wolfkin so heres my list 2500 pts Canis w 2 wolves Wolf Lord on twm w 2 wolves. he is kitted to take out heavy infantry WGBL on twm w 2 wolves. kitted out to take out light infantry WGBL on twm w 2 wolves. kitted out to take on MC's or tanks 3 squads of TWC. 5 each all vanilla 6 squads of 15 FWP's 3 squads of long fangs. 6 each with 5 ml. the only non-cavalry in the list but kind of necessary for any real hope of surviving (my opinion). 3 iron priests on twm w 4 cyberwolves each so the lord and wgbl's all join seperate squads of twc while canis is joining a fwp. everything deployed except 5 fwp's that i kept in reserve. mainly because I ran out of room. my opponent was playing dark eldar but he was running an experimental list with grotesques and wracks. i got turn 1 which probably was the biggest help to my win. i took out a razorwing and blew off a dark lance on a raider. I also had moved everything else up to setup for a second turn charge. He still had a razorwing left though and it took out all of the wolves that were riding with Canis except 2. other than that I didnt lose a whole lot due to cover saves but my WGBL light infantry killer took a wound. on my turn 2 took out some more transports and the other razorwing and CHAAAARRRGE! The details get fuzzy cause this game was a few days ago but theres not much to talk about. My WGBL with one wound left on him got up to 8 bonus attacks due to saga of the warrior born. he lost all of his twc (they charged a wimpy squad of warriors to rack up lots of bonus attacks because I knew that a mean squad of Uriel? and ???? Rex were going to counter charge me with what i think was a squad of grotesques or wracks, I dont know the difference). Anyway it was that WGBL taking on his 2 IC's on my turn 4. That was it on his side. My cavalry smached into everything he had and crushed it like a tidal wave. I still had FWP's in reserve when he called the game. I never even lost an IC or IP. lots of dead dogs though. now I dont think this is the end all list but it was definately fun. For me anyways. If he had gotten 1st turn it probably would have gone differently. Theres so many lists that would annhilate this one but my turns were very quick and I got where I wanted to be (close combat) very quickly. the sheer number of attacks i got were amazing so has anyone else tried to do this or a variant and if so how did it turn out for you? commander alexander
I've wanted to try it, but I dont have any of the models with the excepion of the long fangs. Plus, I would want lots of cover if I was going to play a list like that. MalachiOfRuss
No scoring units... table or tie! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/229129-all-cavalry-w-canis-wolfborn/#findComment-2748168 Share on other sites
commander alexander
With canis, fenrisian wolf packs are scoring units, thats why he held five units in reserve, so they wouldn't get shot up and could contest objectives at the end. Well they can't actually hold anything though, right? elithren
Read the FWP entry in the codex, they are not able to claim objectives so they dont count as scoring. This is a table or contest army.
