Heroes of the Fang

Recommended Posts

Okay my fellow wolves, I thought it might be a good idea that we deposit the "Character Entries" for the characters of Firenze's lovely tales here.

Rules

-No Entries for characters that have not appeared in the story yet.

-You can't write your own entries, only other users characters. It would be polite to have the "owners" permission.

-Feel free to offer C&C to these entries, but again, owning player and writer get the final say.

-Relax, and enjoy it for what it is.

Format

Please include the following in the entries;

-Character Name

-Character Fluff, description and/or history

(The rest is just like in a codex, so that s/he can be used with friendly players in friendly games.)

-Points cost

-Character Stats

-Composition

-Unit Type

-Wargear

-Special Rules

The Librarium's Workshop has some lovely codes to help if you want to get fancy with editing.

Grey Hunter Schertenleib
Schertenleib 5 4 4 4 2 4 3 8 3+

(Schertenleib is an upgrade for a Grey Hunters Pack)... 90pts
  • Infantry

  • 1 (Unique)

  • Plasma Pistol
  • Bolt Gun
  • Power Weapon (Halberd)
  • Frag and krak grenades

  • And They Shall Know No Fear
  • Acute Senses
  • Counter-attack
  • The Unseen
  • Hand of God

  • See the Grey Hunters Pack entry in Codex: Space Wolves

* The Unseen: Schertenleib has the ability to "lose himself" in combat. Enemies find themselves unintentionally overlooking this warrior in combat only to have him appear in front of them unexpectedly. He has a 4+ invulnerable save.
* Hand of God: Being so often overlooked has repeatedly given Schertenleib the chance not only to save himself but to protect his pack mates in close combat. Once per game Schertenleib can grant is invulnerable save to a member of his pack in close combat.

Moved from "Tales" Thread

Grouchy, cantankerous, lousy pilot, deadly shot. Once dark brown hair and beard now heavily graying, grouchy, one titanium fang [thanks to Decoy, but that's another story] Horst has been around a while. Knows lots of stories on his brothers and when in the right mood will sit back and tell them. Fond of stealing Ragnarok's cigars when he's not looking, grouchy, and has a weakness for tall, leggy green eyed bolter babes. Did I mention grouchy? Stubborn, refuses to leave a fight once he's in it, and will remind the youngsters that a Wolf will only lose one fight and it will be his last, but make sure your teeth are buried in your enemies' throats and take them with you.

Grey Hunter Warhorse

Warhorse554424393+

(Warhorse is an upgrade for a Grey Hunters Pack)..........90pts.

  • Infantry

  • 1 (Unique)

  • Thompson
  • Frost Axe
  • Bolt Pistol
  • Power Armor
  • Frag and Krak Grenades

  • And They Shall Know No Fear
  • Acute Senses
  • Counter Attack
  • Defend the Hot Tub!
  • Unca Warts

  • See the Grey Hunters Pack entry in Codex: Space Wolves

* Thompson: This relic autogun was a gift to Warhorse fromt Colonel Tobias Ulisan of the Reikland 3rd Infantry. The weapon is old, very old, and its heavily notched grip has been replaced many times to accomodate the kill counts of its owners. The barrel is stamped with the name "Thompson 45," perhaps some gene-bred soldier of the distant past who first bore it. The weapon uses the following profile.

Range: 18" Strength: 3 AP: 6 Type: Assault: 5

* Defend the Hot Tub!: Warhorse is forever getting on the good side of any bolter babes in theater and having Firenze build him a hot tub with which to impress the ladies. Should the Space Wolves' base camp come under attack, Warhorse will defend his prize possesion to the death. In a mission with objectives the Space Wolves player may select one objective to represent Warhorse's hot tub. If within six inches of this objective Warhorse's pack has the Preferred Enemy Universal Special Rule.

* Unca Warts: Warhorse has been mentor to several generations of young wolves, many of whom still look up to the old man. Once per game Warhorse can exhort his pack to greater feats, exactly in the manner of a Wolf Standard.

Options: Warhorse may trade the Thompson for a meltagun for no additional cost.

Jonas was once one of the most belligerent bloodclaws in the Fang; loud, annoying, foolish, and violent. Time and regular beatings from his elders have tempered the first three, but he has lost none of the ferocity or battle lust he had as a whelp. For this reason the older wolves have regularly given Jonas command of whatever new pack causes the most trouble. The blood claws and their leader knock heads until someone surrenders and shows some respect. So far, that has not been Jonas. Despite beating a little discipline into his charges, Jonas's pack still tends to be wayward and unruly, and can be often found perpetrating some practical joke or raiding the armory or food lockers. More than once Jonas has found himself strapped to a jumppack, bike, or landspeeder and uncertain of who, or even what chapter, it actually belongs to. In battle, this band of whelps become a raging storm of destruction, utilizing every available resource to close with and annihilate the enemy in a blood soaked frenzy. Through ferocity, guile, and no small amount of good luck, Jonas and his bloodclaws generally come out intact, if streaked with gore, carbon scoring, and the occasional "kick me" note.

Blood Claw Pack Leader Jonas Stormclaw

Jonas Stormclaw544414293+

(Jonas is a unit upgrade for a Blood Claw Pack)..........50pts.

  • Infantry

  • 1 (Unique)

  • Power Armor
  • Power fist
  • Combi-flamer
  • Bolt pistol
  • Frag and krak grenades

  • And They Shall Know No Fear
  • Acute Senses
  • Counter-attack
  • Listen Up Whelps!
  • What have you idiots stolen now?
  • More ears for my collection...

  • See the Blood Claws Pack entry in Codex: Space Wolves

* Listen Up Whelps!: Jonas has been promoted to the wolfguard, but somehow always manages to draw duty with the whelps. While he is an upgrade for a Blood Claws Pack, he counts as a Wolf Guard for the purposes of the Headstrong special rule.

* What have you idiots stolen now?: Jonas pack includes some of the worst miscreants the Chapter has ever seen. These whelps regularly make off with various equipment from the armory, including everything from meltabombs to landraiders. If Jonas is not chosen as a Blood Claw Pack upgrade, he may instead be taken as either a Sky Claw or Swift Claw Pack upgrade.

* More ears for my collection...: Jonas often takes trophies from the fallen foes and is fast becoming famous for his colllection of ears, both human and xenos. Jonas's pack adds +1 to their Initiative for the purposes of Sweeping Advances.

Firenze has said he may be including new characters in the next series of the story. I just put this up because it looked like the 'Tales thread was going to get overrun with rules on the characters. I'm not in the story, and I haven't gotten to post rules either, so don't get your panties in a bunch.

Moths? There are horrible flying xenos clothing eaters in the Fang? I demand retribution! Purge the xenos psyker kitten moth!!!!

affraid they'll eat your robe?

as for the actual topic at hand, personally i don't feel it right to design something about yourself. feels a bit like bragging, instead i think you should open it up for anyone to write a description for someone else. feels nicer too i think if you ever field said character

QFT

i'd be some like ws10, bs9, s10, t10...

WLK

I'm with Hendrik, noone should do their own. I did mine, and it wasn't half as much fun as Warhorse's. Guess which one's been fielded on the tabletop? (by the way, Unca Warts, 90 pts might not be enough for your character...)

I'd appreciate it if anyone would re-do mine and would be willing to write one up for whomever asks. Remember, don't make anything over powered, less is more with home made rules!
