Slyfox1990
New to GK and just bought the codex and a single box to amuse myself and work my way up from. Was looking at the rules and items available and wondered about the Nemesis Halberds. Checked the rules and noticed the initiative boost which seemed decent. Simple question is do people use them? I thought that sticking 2 or 3 into a 10 man squad seemed like a little bit of fun. Is it worth the bother? What's a typical load out for a 10 man squad? Inquisitor =D=
Truth be told its too soon to tell if they will be a staple. I know many are saying they're not worth it and such and such, though personally I'm making them standard. But then again that's partially because I have a ton of "old" Gks that only came with halberds. =]D[= Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/229399-new-to-gk-quick-question/#findComment-2752268 Share on other sites
number6
I touch on this subject a bit in another topic. The short answer: if you can get them free or cheap -- i.e., on Terminators and Purifiers -- take 'em. But if you have to spend points on them, especially on units that aren't really that effective in close combat -- i.e., Strike Squads and Interceptors -- don't bother. nurglez
I generally take 3 out of 5 of my paladins with them (I have 15 paladins in my army) and they are awesome, but they are also free :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/229399-new-to-gk-quick-question/#findComment-2752362 Share on other sites

What do you think you are playing 40k for, for your own enjoyment or something? :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/229399-new-to-gk-quick-question/#findComment-2752408 Share on other sites

If something is do-able but not ideal then that I can happily cope with :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/229399-new-to-gk-quick-question/#findComment-2752731 Share on other sites
