Question on the use of Gk psychic powers

Hey all,

I'm a new GK player, switched over from Black Templars actually, and I'm not sure I understand the user of psychic powers in the context of how many I can use on a unit in a player turn.

I'll give a specific example. If my Terminator squad (so psyker mastery 1 I believe) assaults a unit of nob bikers can I use hammerhand to increase my strength and then activate force weapons once the unsaved wounds come up, or would that actually be considered two powers so I have to choose either hammerhand or force weapon activation.

Further with Purifiers would their cleansing flame attack eat up the psychic power so they couldn't use hammerhands or activate their force weapons or is that simply a cool thing they get to do that doesn't count towards used powers?

If this is answered elsewhere I apologize as I couldn't find it.

Thanks

Psyker Mastery Level dictactes how many powers they can cast in a given player turn. So you could cast a power OR activate your force weapons. Not both. (Unless you have Psychic Mastery 2 that is)

Activating force weapons is a psychic test so that eats up their power. Cleansing Flame also is a psychic power so yes it eats up the Purifiers spell for that turn.

Just remember that when it's your opponents turn you can recast most everything since a lot of our spells are useable during any players turn and psychic master level allows you to cast at least one spell per player turn. 2 Cleansing Flames per game turn is nice at times. :)

As an additional note, its 1 power per player turn, not game turn. IE, you could activate Cleansing Flame with your Purifiers when you charge, and then on your opponent's turn you could activate Hammerhand, or Hammerhand in both Assault phases, etc.
