Crusader of Dorn
Taking a little timeout from my DIY and decided to have a go at the new style Executioners, i dont know the exact scheme other than what i could find on the net. http://i1140.photobucket.com/albums/n562/willmac81/SDC12493.jpg http://i1140.photobucket.com/albums/n562/willmac81/SDC12488.jpg http://i1140.photobucket.com/albums/n562/willmac81/SDC12487.jpg http://i1140.photobucket.com/albums/n562/willmac81/SDC12492.jpg I've used boltgun metal - regal blue mixture or the man colour and washed it with badab black for a grimed look. Tin bitz is a secondary colour to be highlghted with gold. I have worked out a cunning way the do the new chapter emblem, but i'll have to try it out before i post it up. I know he looks a little like a space wolf ATM sorry the pics aint that great. any oppinions, advice? Chapter Master Kanithon
Yeah, it does seem a bit space wolf-y. I imagine the Executioners to be more silver with a hint of blue. you could try using a base of chainmail and then giving the model a watered down wase of asurmen blue. Hope that helps Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/229408-executioner/#findComment-2752444 Share on other sites
Rob_Loken
Cool I like where you're going with this. I'd echo the good Crusader Masters comments about perhaps testing some watered down Asurman Blue over Chainmail. If you drybrush the chainmail. You'd end up with a grittier look to the model when you came to washing with Asurman Blue. But I'm loving the grittiness of this Executioner.
