Death Dealer 101
Hi everyone. I have myself a small collection of the older metal grey knights and planning to update them. My question is if I used draigo as my grand master and replaced his shield arm with an old terminator incinerator arm does it fit. Would the size comparison of the two shoulders look odd or ok. Besides the chest box under the chin thats lower on the new terminators and the different style of gaunlets from gloves to more conventional armour is there any other differences that would make him look odd. jerry
I've mixed both and can see really no difference in size, except maybe to a disconcerting eye,And with the exception of the details of on the new shoulder pads/weapons,I think there a good fit and once there painted you really cant tell unless your looking. And Draigo is a good base model for a GM conversion you get more freedom in positioning for a pose, than we got with Capt.Stern. Crynn
The plastics are bigger, I personally believe it is noticeable. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/229446-draigo-models/#findComment-2752980 Share on other sites
Death Dealer 101
Thanks Jerry I think Draigo would make a great base as well. Crynn, Yes I did notice that when I put a plastic thunderhammer hand onto a metal model the size was different. I removed the metal outstretched sword arm's hand and put the thunderhammer hand onto it. However the old hands were very slender and the backs of the hand triangular in nature with the thin bit at the wrist. The new plastics are a lot more blocky and larger. I just slowly shaved the hand down towards the wrist and rounded the sharp edges of the corners. It now matches rather well.
