deity12
In the chaos codex it says that the daemon prince with mark of tzeentch can use two psychic shooting attacks a turn(because monstrous creatures can fire two weapons a turn). Does this mean you can fire the same psychic shooting attack twice in one turn(counting as twinlinked as per monstorous creatures rules)? SeattleDV8
No, BRB Pg. 50 Psychic Shooting Attacks (but still cannot use the same power twice in a turn) And only certain codexes make dual weapons twin-linked. DarkGuard
As SeattleDV8 said, you can't fire the same psychic shooting power twice. Also, I don't think the same weapon twin-linked rule is a MC thing, but rather as DV8 says Codex specific. Certainly the Tau Codex, and the old Nid Codex had this, not sure about the new one. nurglez
in the chaos space marine codex you cant shoot 2 psychic powers from a daemon prince, even with the mark of tzeentch, as it specifically says you cant (top of the page with psychic powers). In the daemon codex, you can shoot 2 powers, though no MC automatically twin links a ranged weapon due to being a MC, they can just shoot with 2 weapons. Valkyrion
It may seem like a point of pedantry, but there aren't any psychic powers in the daemon codex so the usual rules for shooting apply to Codex Chaos Daemons monstrous creatures. As far as I can tell, only the Wraithlord automatically twin links identical weapons. Spacefrisian
Some peeps need to read the faqs more carefully, this has been adressed by GW some time ago. Chaos Spacemarines FAQ Q: can a Daemon Princse with the Mark of Tzeentch use two different psychic powers that both count as firing a weapon, in the same shooting phase? A: Yes, as monstrous creatures can use two weapons in the shooting phase. They must of course fire both at the same target. Brother Tyler
Yes, but that wasn't the question. The question was whether or not the same shooting psychic power could be fired twice/twin-linked in the shooting phase whereas the FAQ addresses "two different psychic powers". That sort of puts your first sentence into a different perspective now, doesn't it? :o Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/229451-just-a-quick-question/#findComment-2758872 Share on other sites
