Doghouse
Very cool stuff mate! I really like the way the honour guard has turned out especially. He's looking fantastic mate and I really like the biker as well. Now all you need to do is paint one of them pink... ;)
Grizzly_bear
Nice work on those new additions bud. btw what blue you using on those guys, gonna be adding from crimson fists to me black templars to represent the Declates Crusade where the templars and CF's banded together to whoop some greenskin ass lol Thank you very much mate, the blue is as followed: prime black, heavy over brush with Necron abyss, wash with badab black (I've done basecoated the metal parts aswel before I wash the model), then put two thin layers of regal blue ontop of the darkened Abyss, then mix regal blue with shadow grey (75:25), add two thin layers of this mix onto the regal blue layer, then extreme high light with ultra blue, then finally wash with asuriman? Blue...finished. Hope this helps fella. @DogHouse: That honour guard has been given your real name in the Spanish language, brother Estèban, as this is the marine you said to make with the mark 3 parts. And you get killed loads due to you running aroun online as a pink Crimson Fist. :-D
Tellos05
Lol is the pink :) still getting in the way? The honor guard are lookin sweet as are the rest! I would swap allegence from the sons to the fists but Id get to much stick online!!
Midnightmare
Excellent Fists' here, you have a knack of creating great kit bashes/conversions, and they are well painted too. I do see a couple of mould lines but you don't need them pointing out - I hate that when I'm painting a mini and find one, they are my frickin' nemesis! All, in all though great looking army. Win :)

He's looking fantastic mate and I really like the biker as well. Now all you need to do is paint one of them pink... ;) He doesn't need to paint the armour Pink, because we can all be sure they are wearing matching Pink sets of lingerie under their battle plate :) I went back to the beginning of this blog earlier today and can honestly say that I was shocked when I realized that you paint that Blue by hand :) It is smooth as butter and I am hideously jealous :) Although I am quite surprised you haven't built a back shooting Melta gunner yet ;) (reason for edit - spelling)

Cheers fella, and I think you should make the switch but I also think that you should stick with the sons project we've been talking loads about online, and about the 'stick' dw about it, Doghouse can't handle the fact thar the CF's are filled with awsomeness. Lol @midnight runner: thank you to you also fella, when it comes to poses I really try and a pose that fills the criteria of the model and that models rank/title. Sir Tancrede
I have a tuto for camo, but it's not for power armoured guy : it's for my new GI project. Simple, but effective if you want to achieve some kind of Nato/Central Europ pattern. Here it is, using mainly GW foundations and devlan mud :- black undercoat - 2nd step : gretchin green http://img651.imageshack.us/img651/9261/dsc07478s.jpg - 3rd step : irregular dots of deneb stone : http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/4382/dsc07480y.jpg - 4th step : calthan brown http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/5813/dsc07481m.jpg - 5th step : you can add some little black lines/dots http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/1503/dsc07482w.jpg - 6th step : heavy layer of devlan mud http://img807.imageshack.us/img807/6268/dsc07485a.jpg Once dry, you can use pigments or a little drybrush all over the camo parts to highlight it and give it a more realistic look : http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/6665/dsc07469n.jpg Or you can take your time and highlight each color (it's not really a problem if you only have a few camo cloaks to paint) Hope it can help. And I must say you have achieved a very good work on your Crimson Fists. Keep us shoing such good work, brother !
Anvilarium
The urban camo on the left looks a bit plain, but that could just be because of the light that the picture was taken in. The woodland camo on the left looks pretty much spot on to me!
Grizzly_bear
@sir tancrede: Thank you for posting that link up on your camo, much appreciated, and also your comment. @Urza: the Urban camp was a tester I did this morning to see how it may look but I feel with the coldness of the blue I produce on my fists it'll make the model too cold, think I'll stick to the woodland camo aswel, i may do bigger patterns for the woodland shceme, but thanks also for you input. Doghouse
I really do like the urban camo as you've done a great job on it but I agree that the woodland does look better. Strange as it sounds as we are talking about camo here and the object is to blend in but the woodland will make the models pop a little better in my opinion as it contrasts strongly with the blue heraldry of the Fists. Midnightmare
CF scouts seem very fluffy. Is that free hand on the his shoulder pad? If so well done, looks boss.
Grizzly_bear
CF scouts seem very fluffy. Is that free hand on the his shoulder pad? If so well done, looks boss. Yes mate it is, there are some sculpted shoulder pads from GW but i only have 10 left so i may save them for when i re do som imperial fists etc, but i do enjoy freehanding the fists symbol and thank you for the compliment. Right another small LPC update on my scouts http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb323/Rob_grizz4/Crimson%20Fists%204th%20comapny/3scouts.jpg http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb323/Rob_grizz4/Crimson%20Fists%204th%20comapny/3scouts2.jpg http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb323/Rob_grizz4/Crimson%20Fists%204th%20comapny/3scouts3.jpg and heres a tactical sargent i converted for when i do the third tac squad for my army. http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb323/Rob_grizz4/Crimson%20Fists%204th%20comapny/tacsgt.jpg hope you like him and the scouts. let me know what you think Rob
Leonidus
Those scouts are bang tidy. Really like the Camo on the end of the sniper rifles too! very good look! Im going to go with an urban camo with mine I think, they are next on the building block. The serg I'm not so sure on. I've never been a fan of the AOBR minis. The powersword arm would be better if it was a bit bent. The power axe from assault marines would probably look better. Just my two pence J

Biohazard
I could have sworn Id commented here before but after reading through the entire log its clear I havent. Doh. Just want to say these guys are exactly how I picture Space Marines. None of this 'lets slap gold stuff on everypatch of armour we can find' but pure, simple, combat effective gear. Your Pedro is an especially nice looking conversion. Keep up the excellent work.
