the jeske:

most of the paladin questions have been answered very well by thegentlemenloser. Suffice to say that they are hands down better then vanilla gk terminators and combined with reserve manipulation and servo skulls they can even be amazing. Also remember that when they arrive they WILL kill something so having a single redundancy isnt good enough.

I dont use paladins and/or interceptors solely as assault elements, obviously the whole GK army is primarily a shoot first army. However, any unit consisting entirely of models with multiple s5-s10 power weapon attacks can very easily function in an assault or counter assault roll if necessary, especially when combining assaults.

Regarding dealing with wolves, chaos and hordes, wolves are very strong but rarely bring vindicators and such as you mentioned. Speaking of the current trend of 'standard' wolf builds, they are good midfield shooters and nasty in cc but their priests suffer from reinforced aegis/aegis and their units lose to mine in cc.

Im surprised you even mention chaos as often as you have bemoaned the state of the chaos dex. Not saying I agree, just sayin.

As for hordes, hordes are a myth. I havent seen a real horde since 3rd edition. Lol, hordes dont exist.

the grand master of calidus who gain total control of all the assasin temples durning the assasin war

I applaud you. Although it is a dangerous path on which you tread, for you have done what no other living being has ever accomplished. You have delved the past to uncover the last remaining shred of evidence of the former lord of all four temples. And thus you have perhaps uncovered the secret origins of......Kane!

(lets just hope this operation went unnoticed by the assassin)

I never could have suspected a battle report would have stirred up so much trouble! In the future I will be sure to include the phrases "substandard list" and "warning: waste of time" in my batrep topics so that those of you who feel this way can avoid them....To everyone else thanks for the support.

heh, folk like Brom give me hope for the hobby.

I always name my characters, so do most people in my gaming group. I like the narrative style, it adds depth and fun to the hobby. I think the tourney/powergaming scene has become too cut-throat and unfriendly, it's nice to see fellow players who put fun first.

I am trying to name my Characters too. Though I get stuck on cool sounding names, maybe I should follow Brom's lead and call my Grand Master Bob and Librarian Colin ;)

I changed all my names (with the exception of my brother captain) with the release of the new codex, I loved the new fluff that the names are artificial constructs desighned to protect the true name of the GK and to act as a weapon against the daemon. Not all of Ward's fluffis bad I guess :P

I try to mix and match from various sources, my GM for instance is called Gabriel Drake while my Brothr Captain is Lucius Kezef.

I think some people ahve been a little hard on 'Angelis Mortis' he may not have out it so elliquently however I think he was giving a compliment. Although he needs to read the subtitles in regards to the army lists I somewhat agree with him.

In regards to that battle, I really enjoyed it, well written and as much as i like afactual run down of dice rolls haha, it is nice to read something a little difference once in a while and I applaud the poster for taking an army he viewed as reasonably challenging to use and in the end putting up a very good fight.

Hope you write some more wonderfull batrepsm, I think you got unlucky this time as those autocannon dread should have done a little more to those ravens

Regards,

Crynn
