Apothecary templar 14

(have removed pics and edited this post)

Well, I wasnt really all that pleased with the first version I posted here. So I have done a new head, cut away into the helmet this time then built back with Gst. You can see some detail(again will show better once painted) but more than the last pic showed. Some parts made the transfer to the new model while I got rid of the torso completely and gave it a new chest decoration(hope you like this one better T14). Used plastic seals on the left shoulder pad instead of the Gst ones, which looks better again. The tubeing around from the belly area to the back have been done with thin plastic rod.

Think you'll agree, its a damn sight better. You'll have to forgive me for the fist sloppy version, I have man flu. :)

Does getting punched mean you are getting hurt or getting healed? :D

The bleeding is just the beginning of the healing process. So...both?

lol, I hope you arent a doctor! Wouldnt want a meeting with Dr. Firepower :P

Hmmm...Dr. Firepower. I like the sound of that ;)

Actually, a small aside, if you've ever been under the knife you may have heard your surgeon saying something along the lines of "Wow, that has a really good blood supply." What this actually means is "Damn, he's bleeding a lot!" However, it is indeed seen as a good thing, because the wound will heal quicker with a good blood supply.

So in short, doctors are jerks. But at least they're funny.

Or at least I think that was the point, hard to tell.... :D

I DEARLY wish i could be part of this! If you have stopped doing them then that is fine but i simply have to post the idea that formed in my mind whilst reading this thread! If you were to do it i would be... an Initiate with a power sword and combat shield (which would be white with a black templar cross and a crimson fist over it) as i would be a marine of the Declates crusade! The sword would be broken in half (raggedly) with the broken half embedded in a dead ork that is at my feet. I would want a corvus helm (I love the beak!) and one black templar shoulder pad on the left and a crimson fist on the right. no tabbard or cloak, plenty of battle damage from hard fighting! if painted two crimson gauntlets... You are likely going to say no but a boy can dream?

Thanks all for the comments, the ongoing interest in this keeps me motivated.

Brother Apothecary Dannis.

Modelled to capture a moments thought for fallen brothers, the helmet will be that of a fallen IF marine. The pic speaks for itself I guess.

To all those wishing to be added to this project I will be doing a handful at the end. So just leave a post on the thread and I'll see what I can do.

Thanks guys,

@Roma, can't tell if you are joking or not , soo.... its the kneeling legs from the command(I think) sprue?

@Templar14, its the apoth left arm. Cut at the elbow to change the angle (replaced the upper arm). Bent the fingers and greenstuffed a thumb.

hey man, if you're doing more templarification, it would be sick to get one done. i can understand if you're full though. if you have space shoot me a pm and i'll let you know what would be cool. nothing too fancy, prob an initiate or assault marine. keep up the good work!

Hey Eberious, I would be willing to donate some bitz to you if you need them or could use something. The least I can do to help with this project. Just send me a PM to let me know and we can work it out!

This is a sweet project! I recently started doing some planning for the gaming group I have been involved in for sometime now. The idea is to draw a name from a hat and then you have to model a character after that person you drew for their army (you can create rules like a special character in that army as long as it is not to ridiculous and OP). Thanks for the inspiration Eberious!

If you're still taking applications, I'd definetley be interested. I'm a simple fella equipment-preference-wise...Mk. VI plate and a long-bladed double edged sword (chain or powered, whichever would fit better for you) would make me a happy camper. Pose-wise, standing tall and proud at rest, blade tip in the dirt, hand(s) resting on the pommel. I also second the 'bitz donation' part; if you need anything, just let me know. :)

Love the hollow knight, by the way. That fella is inspiring! Looking forward to see what else you come up with!

Eberious, brother, I like it! Kinda funny that you made that pose with the thought of 'a moment for a fallen brother' as in real life I will be sure to keep passionate/close with my friends and family ;)

When will you beginning to slap some paint on the first models? :P

Thanks very much all.

@Roesor. Combined with aac, indeed we would be.

@Castellan Alaric. I'll keep a note.

@Tolek. Thanks very much for the bits offer but just did a bits restock so sorted for now. And happy to know the project gave you inspiration to do similar.

@1000heathens. I'll make a note, and thanks for the bits offer as well. The mention Hollow knight idea had me intrested at first. Once Firepower filled in the fluff for this model it had to be made. I usualy do battle damged models but they still have a certain grace to them. With this I could batter the model, make it gritty and the most basic low tech (as far as SM armour goes without being scout armour). So just armour and a rusty blade. Kinda reminds me of those kids in LOTR the two towers, "heres a rusty sword, now go fear no evil and kill some orks". Anyways, once its painted it will reflect that all the more.

@Dannis. Well, I do a lot of YYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ATTACK! poses and wanted to clam things down. With apothecarys I think they would be more inclined this way, seeing so many battle brothers die they might spare more of a moment then normal battle brothers..maybe. Painting will commence once thay are all modelled.

So with painting some BA's for ebay and making some typhoon landspeeders out of the way I managed to get the following Battle brothers done.
