Gotcha. I suppose it's along the same lines as we English speakers (at least in the U.S.) saying/typing "gracias" without actually speaking Spanish. I am consistently amazed however how many Europeans are at least bilingual to some extent (some trilingual - like in Belgium). Not us dumb Americans, I always feel bad traveling without being able to speak the language.

Obrigado, Captain Lucifer (ah ha, speaking of the Iberian Peninsula!), I've actually never used the advanced search. Guess I only have myself to blame. I'll give it a try next time.

Lucifer is a serious guy, he never gets into my game... but he'll eventually fall some day :P

Most Europeans only speak their language and English to an average-to-low level (the more north you go, the better they do with languages).

I speak 3 languages fluently (Spanish, Catalonian, English), German at conversational level and French at a basic level. Portuguese is actually pretty similar to Spanish (we can probably get 50% across, though its easier for them to understand us than the other way around).

Back on topic... I'm quite concerned about the tourney on sunday... and everything I've read for the past days (beyond my own experience with doublewing) is: stay tight, concentrate fire, stay out of combat...

Out of 17 players, there will be (confirmed) 2 GK and AT LEAST 4 BA...sigh...and this place usually has 20% noobs, 60% decent player, 20% tournament players... this time its like 80% tournament players!
