JasoX
I have recently been looking material related to ordo xenos. Something Wycked
I can't speak to fluff material, but you don't -really- need Codex: Ordo Xenos. Just take a Coteaz-counts-as-Ordo Xenos Inquisitor, and bring along a henchman army, with maybe a unit or two of Grey Knights for added support. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/229745-ordo-xenos/#findComment-2757965 Share on other sites
stuckinbermuda
I've been waiting for this unexplored aspect to be exploited, it is a unique model range waiting to happen. Growler67
Currently the best single resource is the DeathWatch RPG Rulebook. Other than that I can provide you a list of reference links I have accumulated while researching a writing project of mine. PM me if interested. Wildfire
I'm really hoping that the move to a mostly pure GK codex indicates a coming Inquisition codex. Probably not, but I'm hoping. Deathwatch could probably go in there, as they don't really have a ton of special rules and are drawn from normal chapters anyways. Although I'm sure GW could probably come up with some if they thought they'd sell. jeffersonian000
As nice Deathwatch Kill Team you could make with the new codex is a Ordo Xeno Inquistor supported by two Striker squads outfitted with psycannons and/incinerators. Just model them as actual Marine Deathwatch with stormbolts, power weapons, flamers, and heavybolter/assault cannon. Add henchmen as needed, or Dreadnoughts to suit your playstyle. tehreverend
I'm doing the counts-as as well. I'm using Grey Knights for purifiers, and Death Watch for Strike and Interceptor squads. The fact that Librarians lead Death Watch kill teams takes care of the psyk-squad fluff as well. The fact that Librarians lead Death Watch kill teams takes care of the psyk-squad fluff as well. I got grey knights for purifiers, death company for strike squads and legion of the damned as interceptors. all is lead by librarian and ordo xenos inquisitor with sometimes accompanied by acolytes (karskins) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/229745-ordo-xenos/#findComment-2758997 Share on other sites
jeffersonian000
What a cool idea! I didn't think about using my old LotD mini's as Interceptor (I have an entire 2nd LotD army I prox as different marine 'dex's). Inquisitor Fox
Eisenhorn starts associated with Ordo Xenos, so the big Inquisition series from the Black Library is a good source. I believe Ravenor was Xenos as well at the beginning... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/229745-ordo-xenos/#findComment-2759924 Share on other sites
Loyalist
The first book of the Eisenhorn Trilogy, 'Xenos' is the best for info on an Ordo Xenos planetary assault force: 5 Ordo Xenos inquisitors and their henchmen, each supported by a Deathwatch Kill team, and lots of Imperial Guard. A DW captain (presumably with a Command Squad) is in command of about 60 Deathwatch SM. Actually, I'm pretty sure they were both Ordo Xenos for the entirety of their Inquisitorial careers, with the obvious exception of when they're going rogue.
