konskrypt
Hail Brothers!! I have jumped on the Dread Knight Bandwagon. However not being a gamer I decided to make mine a proper display piece (IMO) This is what I have so far. Zeller
Definitely cool though he looks a bit back heavy. Is there any way you can flex the left knee so it's bent shifting the center of mass forward a bit? Battleflag
I agree. It looks a bit like he's about to topple over backwards. Love the flames, though. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/229838-display-knight/#findComment-2759264 Share on other sites
gil galed
You should sculpt a flame onto the little igniter at the bottom of the heavy incinerator, would like ace :) ~Gil :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/229838-display-knight/#findComment-2759266 Share on other sites
konskrypt
@ Zeller & Battleflag.....Yeah he is a bit back heavy. I haven't actually stuck his feet yet, so he has got some forward movement available. will sort that out nearer completion. @ Gil Galed.......Hadn't thought about that, however the small cone on the pilot light could get a flame light paint finish, maybe that would work? -=Dan=-
rework the toes on the foot thats on the tyranid, it needs to look more like its standing on it and toes sitting on different levels of the body. konskrypt
@ -=Dan=- I'm not too sure on how to go about that..as in the way the toes would be. Any ideas? BERZERKER!
First of all, great work. I'm loving the flames, and I'm normally not keen on GS muzzle flash type things. I also really like the addition of the storm shield... it adds to the knightly look of the model If you are any good with greenstuff (by the look of the flames you are, unless you used some other method?), you could cut away the midsection of the nid, and blend so that it looks squished... IMO this is more likely than the foot resting on the little critter, unless he's trapping it to BBQ later!! :D Also, i agree with the comments about the backwards lean on the model. If you can, alter the angles of the hip and knee on the left leg, so it looks like he's lifted it to stamp on the bug.
