Kein
Hi "but any model wounded by it and not killed" in the description of our hammers means that the target being the effect after my rols "to wound", or after opponents failed save? if the first - how to prove it? thanks :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/229888-thunder-hammers/ Share on other sites
Interrogator Stobz
I believe it is the second option, IMO the model needs to be wounded and not killed as a result, not just 'takes a wound'. Sorry if that isn't what you want to hear. just my 2c Lance Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/229888-thunder-hammers/#findComment-2759929 Share on other sites
Chaplain Lucifer
Wounded means it's after the save. A wound is only a wound after the saving throw. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/229888-thunder-hammers/#findComment-2759964 Share on other sites
Tanhausen
Yes to the above! So basically, it only works vs models with 2+ wounds, that are eternal warrior (or have T5+). A long list, but just as an example, trygons/mawloc/tervigon, most named-IC (Lysander for example...like he cares :)), the new dreadknight (it would hurt him quite a bit, lowering his ini to 1..) Brother Kovash
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but does this work against walkers, like a Dreadnought or a Defiler? I know that damage results count as causing a wound in terms of combat resolution, but would these also count as causing an actual wound? I don't have my rulebook to look this up, my friend is borrowing it right now. Isiah
No. Vehicles with an AV value cannot take a 'wound' as such. Vehicles hit by DA hammers are Crew Shaken + any other damage caused. Looks like I kind of "cheated" last game then. Oh well, that combat didn't really affect the game, but next time I'll get it right. Somehow that rulebook seems to always be needed, no matter how much you think you know. Hugebill
It's kinda normal that you get that one wrong, because hammers onlky do that in the dark angel codex. ( other do stun and stuff but not in the same way.) So if darkangel is not your first space marine army, you couldnt know it. (The opponent wont either, and he will not even believe you when you explain it to him ;) ) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/229888-thunder-hammers/#findComment-2767260 Share on other sites
