Nrthstar
Price Hikes are real, I just saw a price guide. On average 3 to 5 dollar increase. A lot of people are starting to show new interest in warmachine/hordes haha Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/229946-finecast-list/page/2/#findComment-2761671 Share on other sites
Niiai
As a tyranid player I do not mind scrachbuilding a lott of these. However the metal models I have bought I am not so happy with. Whenever I transport them they rumbel about and starts flaking off. :-/ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/229946-finecast-list/page/2/#findComment-2761772 Share on other sites
Firenze
Now Im p***ed. GW has not just shot itself in the foot, but the eye, chest and spine. What are they thinking? Why hike up prices for the 'finecast' cheaper resin? Soon, FW stuff will be cheaper than GW. And better. I believe the "Warhammer Forge" is meant to replace and/or integrate ForgeWorld into the company.. meaning their prices will be what GW tell them to be. Rune_Priest_Rhapsody
No, Warhammer Forge is the Fantasy side of Forge World. The funny thing about this supposed price hike: even though cheaper materials are being used to produce the models, we'll still all keep playing the damn game!! Are we stubborn, or stupid?? You decide. End of Line Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/229946-finecast-list/page/2/#findComment-2762118 Share on other sites
Chapter Master Ignis Domus
We may still be playing the game, but I won't be buying anymore models. This is getting already ridiculous. And now they're making it worse. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/229946-finecast-list/page/2/#findComment-2762120 Share on other sites
Nrthstar
I have two options: Keep buying or Switch to Warmachine. Yep, I'm stuck still buying and since I've made that decision, I'm removing my right to complain about it. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/229946-finecast-list/page/2/#findComment-2762124 Share on other sites

Tybrus
From the stand point of finance it does not make sense to me. If you make the product cheaper now and up the price to increase short term profits, yet piss off your market your long terms gains will fall. Cheaper models would mean an increase of new players, older players buying new units, or even armies, and the long terms gain would far outweigh any short term ones. When will GW understand basic market concepts and stop just (I got told the term I use for this last time was not ok so) "Taking by force from an unwilling member of the opposite sex, carnal actions in a most heinous fashion" their customizers and learn we will just give in anyway if you buy dinner first. (Like cheaper models ) ... God I hope GW does read these boards. Forté
beat isn't solely for people of different sex. a guy is capable of beating another guy. I think the whole point was to not use the R word. As for prices. If you don't like them, buy elsewhere. There are places which discount GW models and the more that switch to them, the more GW may get the point. Freman Bloodglaive
Yes, but then GW make it so discount suppliers aren't allowed to sell to the Southern Hemisphere. We pay about 50% more than UK buyers for the same product. Wolf Lord Fenrir
beat isn't solely for people of different sex. a guy is capable of beating another guy. I think the whole point was to not use the R word. Yep, there seems to be a lot of usage of that word and it's getting a bit OTT. GW are a massive corporation and are doing what they can to make money, its the way things are. Former Colonials will find a way around the new rules, people always do. Nrthstar
Yep, GW has tightened their quote/unquote Sphincter on all 3rd party sales too. At this point if you live in Australia or New Zealand you're paying DOUBLE the new raised U.S. prices. Ok, less of a complaint as a query since I've removed my right to complain, but isn't this counter productive for a company that didn't just turn a profit last year, but also showed growth last fiscal year. Forté
There's no way that that's a full list of everything as there's metals missing from the DE 2nd wave which have recently been released. Can't see them abandoning new sculpts so quick with how much it cost them in the first place. Firenze
I still believe it is a bad piece of marketing. Knocking up prices to extortionate rates for a cheaper material. At least make new moulds/models. Sorry for the tone of my post before. Im really fustrated and stressed at the moment (Damn college :P). Pall Ironbear
Current rumour from a friend, the list is just made up of the models that they have sold out/sold a lot of stock, across all the genres. More will be available as time goes on. The quality of the casting is meant to be exceptional, and the resin is more robust than some previous materials used(talk of impromptu testing by bouncing the models off the floor), and easier to work with. Of course, that could all just be rumour and sales pitch. As for the Aussies/Kiwis getting stuffed on prices, maybe you need to find a relative on UK shores that can mail the stuff out to you (depending on postage rates, could be cheaper) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/229946-finecast-list/page/2/#findComment-2764661 Share on other sites
