From the Black Library:

Space Wolf

Ragnar's Claw

Grey Hunter

(The above three comprise the first Space Wolf Omnibus)

Wolfblade

Sons of Russ

Wolf's Honor

(These three comprise the second Space Wolf Omnibus)

Prospero Burns

Thousand Sons (the opposite perspective of Propero)

Battle For the Fang (releasing June 2011)

There are shorts in books like Victories of the Space Marines as well.

Greenhorns reading! The shock of it.

Battle for the Abyss is not.... erm.... held in high regard by most people who read it.

Bad book is bad....

That is quite possibly the most diplomatic statement I've ever heard concerning Battle for the Abyss. Wilhelm, you deserve an ale for that. Let me be a little more blunt. Its full of plot holes, is non sequitur to the rest of the Horus Heresy series, consists of entirely flat, one sided characters, casts Ultrasmurfs as being the most uber awesome legion, and makes the wolfguard look like an emo git. The only saving grace was the World Eater guy, who wasn't quite as one dimensional as everybody else. Believe me, Greenhorn, your money can be better spent elsewhere. The Ragnar series, particularly William King's contribution, is infinitely better in comparison. Its also my opinion that "Tale os Heresy" is worth buying for the Space Wolf and World Eater stories alone.

I admire your restraint Willie.

My opinion of the Battle for the Abyss

a. is pointless filler. has no impact on the Heresy at all. seriously, nothing.

b. the characters are flat, one trick ponies. the only reason i didnt burn this book is the World Eater captain is the exception to this point, and kinda rocks.

c. plot reads like saturday morning cartoon, without the logic.

d. the book is repetitive.

you could have replaced any of the protagonists with any other legion, and had the same effect. there was no depth to them. (i repeat it because i hate it) the Word Bearers villian is Dr. Evil without the cat and intelligence. really.

the book was simply bodily refuse wrapped in a Horus Heresy book cover and sold as a way to kill trees.

The Lord has spoken!

To be honest, I can't comment on this title as after reading the back cover I didn't bother with it. Most of the rest of the HH titles are good and you get the odd good towards SW but not much. Reading Thousand Sons (second time as list interest shortly first time I tried) and the first SW meeting was a bit odd (gimp mask anyone?) But will keep going.

Everyone speaks highly of the William King stuff from what I can see too.

Oh yeah *punches Arez* go back to your milk and there's nothing wrong with audio books (just ask Stephen Fry)
