Master of fact
ok I am COMPLETLEY unfamiliar with codex space wolves and have played them once with the new dex. I am creating a 2000 point pre heresy thousand son army (ironic im here eh! PS STILL LOYAL!) Would it be viable to use this dex i really only play friends so nothing major. I am thinking of having the army led by 2 sorcerers followed by very elite units, termis, landraiders tacticals. what do you drunken lot think. Some tasters http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z52/masteroffact/15560391.jpg http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z52/masteroffact/b1ac1267.jpg http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z52/masteroffact/76d94e1e.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230104-space-wolf-codex-counts-as-pre-heresy-thousond-sons/ Share on other sites
hendrik
BE GONE YOU FOUL DEAMON! :P on a more serious note. i don't think space wolves are really the way to represent an army filled with psychers. how about the new grey knight codex? Master of fact
Never even though about that! I shall investigate. The reason i thought the wolves would be good is the ruin priests are very awesome and those crazy lone termis are well crazy. Thanks for the input. d@n
the grey knight codex is perfect for a pre heresy 1000 son army. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230104-space-wolf-codex-counts-as-pre-heresy-thousond-sons/#findComment-2763372 Share on other sites
Wulfebane
Personally, I think the Brotherhood Champion trumps the Lone Wolf.. especially when compared to cold, calculating Thousand Sons. I do agree with the Grey Knights codex working suitably for Thousand Sons. Both are nearly purely psyker marines. Don't get carried away, though, and start thinking you can have some "possessed" Dreadknight or Stormraven, etc. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230104-space-wolf-codex-counts-as-pre-heresy-thousond-sons/#findComment-2763466 Share on other sites
skoll
honestly seeing as I find the giant baby harness retarded in the first place a possessed exoskeleton with no pilot would be an improvement. the dreadknight would look much cooler if it had a cockpit. Wulfebane
Well.. so much for my theory on possessed dreadknights being overkill... This is apparently to be showcased in one of the big Gamesday battles. http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m1820900a_Blog200511_7_XL.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230104-space-wolf-codex-counts-as-pre-heresy-thousond-sons/#findComment-2765673 Share on other sites

Jonas Stromclaw
I can see why you might want to use the Space Wolves (Rune Priests are AWESOME!) but as everyone has said, Grey Knights are a better choice.
